Help - what's bad, Batt or charger?

When I recharged my Riva batt, the red light never went out after four hours. When I unscrewed it, the batt was hot. So - do I have a bad batt or bad charger?

Do you have another charger? If not, I would say try charging another batt on the charger and see if the same thing happens. I would also recommend cleaning off the connections on both the battery and the charger. juice builds up on these and can cause problems with charging.

It sounds as though you have a bad charger. They should stop charging when the battery reaches full capacity. Most of the Chinese chargers are cheaply made, so I always keep a spare or two around.

i had the same thing happen the other day. i loosened the battery a little on the charger and it stopped being hot and charged. i'm currently keeping an eye on the battery, as the other batteries did not have the problem on the same charger

well my riva battery is still getting very warm but not my other batteries. does this mean it's dying or unsafe?
