I'd say the kicks are almost dead; but as more people get mech mods, I'm hoping somebody gets the bright idea to make a high powered kick;

or maybe a hybrid control head will develop where you add on a control head that adds less than an inch to a tube mod so that you can get the screen instead of only regulation.

There's already something on the market similar to what you are describing - although so far it's not adjustable, more of a protection / information device. It's called the Dovpo safelink. It's probably only a matter of time before they make it like a true control head rather than a safety device.

Yes!! In fact I had that on my wishlist!
There's a few of those types of things around the place; theres for example the evic 'easy head' I think it's called.
For the price, its just the sort of piece/part that new vapers - especially people being drawn towards mechanical mods, would be interested in buying.

The big problem with most of them though is that go@#$Mnd 510 thread connector.
that one for example doesn't have an adjustable centerpin so I can imagine after 3 months of usage you find its not working because the contact is 0.1 mm just short of making electrical contact; the future might have more devices coming with the spring loaded centerpin that kanger came out with the subtank, but I'm not holding my breadth on that one either..... but hoping

I agree. I don't use a kick because I am lazy and I can't be bothered I suppose. I also don't like that it either robs space that I could use a larger battery for, or it means my device is overly long in telescoping mode with an 18650 in it. This control head does (of course) make the device longer, but I can see where it would actually enhance the look of certain mechs and seems much easier to use too.

Yes, the pin on the subtank is beautifully engineered (if I can use that phrase about a center pin) it works perfectly and unlike some of the other spring loaded pins out there, this has almost no resistance when you press it and yet fully retracts and extends as needed. I hope it's as durable as it is functional.

I totally agree about the lack of adjustable / spring loaded pins being a major downside. For me it's the single thing I look for now in both devices and toppers. The "spring loaded" pin in the Aspire Nautilus cannot be depressed with me, my wife and my dog trying to push it in. I hate to think what I am doing to my threads by torquing it down.

In answer to the OP :
As a Career Trucker, dripping is out of the question. Trying to drip into an atty of any kind while steering 78,000 lbs. at 75 MPH on the Interstate is totally unsafe. Also, as a Flat Bed Driver, there a re chains, tarps, straps, tie-downs, .... a lot more work than just closing the back doors and driving. I broke six eGo Twists and ten Kanger T3's in less than six months. Along the way I had purchased my first REO Mini, and it just kept going no matter how much punishment it took. Then one day, my REO Mini fell out of shirt pocket. While I was tarping a full load of lumber. That was loaded onto a spread axle flat bed trailer. 11 Feet down and onto a hardened chip-and-run surface that had been compressed by years of tractor trailer traffic. I climbed down, picked up my REO, wiped it off and kept vaping. That was nearly two years ago, and I still use REOS Mods.
The REOS is indestructible, period. I have two REO Grands for at work, two REO VV Grands for at home and a REO Woodvil for out and about. I've recently acquired two ProVari, a P2 through Trade and purchased the new P3. Both have Kayfun RDA tank style attachments. They are nice - for lying on the couch and watching television.
If you are interested in sub-ohming and vapor production, look at a Low Profile (LP) REOS Grand. Reos Mods offers several dual coil and single coil attachments for the LP Grand. Also, there is a REONaut who is remodeling popular RDA's into Bottom Feed RBA's. His work can be found at Catfish Atty Mods. I recently had one of my VV Grand planed down, and purchased a remodeled Veritas from Catfish Atty Mods. Works great in single coil.
There is more to the REOS than an on-board bottle. Try conversing with the people of 'REOVille' for more info.

Thanks! That is really a fantastic review.
