Hi I'm kinda new to vaping and to this forum so sorry if I put this post in the wrong section.
I recently got a shisha pen with a 2200mah Mikst battery. sadly the tank broke and I was looking to get a new one but I'm unsure if it will fit or if it will work with my battery, are different sized threads or a different number of threads depending on the battery beand or tank brand?
This is this is the tank I was going to get: Aspire Atlantis Tank It says that the battery had to be 35amp for it to not be dangerous as they state ? But I think my battery is 34amps or 33amps I'm not sure to be quite honest, if my battery was only 34amps would it still be safe to use the tank on it even though they say it dangerous to use a battery with under 35amps ? I mean it's 1amp for god sake.
Thanks for the help and for reading this:)

StealthVape, is there any way you can post a link to your set-up or to where you got it? I searched for the battery and couldn't find anything. If it is 510 or Ego threading, you will have a lot of options for a new tank. If it is something else, you will have to find a specialty tank.
I'll post a picture of the current tank that keeps coming apart and battery, also I got it off eBay as bad as that may sound but the battery it's self is pretty good

Does it look something like this 2015 Battery Wattage Store Twist 2200mah $3.6/Piece | DHgate.com EGO on Mikst's with Capacity Online Newest 6W~15W Ariable ? If so, I wouldn't go with a sub-ohm tank on it, unless I knew more about its amp rating. Because yes, you could have a serious problem if it isn't rated for sub-ohming. I might recommend the Aspire Nautilus or Nautilus mini to start with. Either way, you will probably need a 510 to eGo adapter, because it looks like the battery might only be eGo threaded.

I'm not too familure with your battery but I am assuming it does not have a 35 amp limit because its a small vape pen. But if you can get 1.8 ohm coil heads for it then that should be fine. DO NOT use any coil heads that have lower ohms than 1.8 or 1.6. I tried to look up your battery but I couldn't find out much on the amp limits of them so I'm going to assume it's like a 3 amp limit. Most ego style batteries are 3 amp limits from what I could find.

A 1.8 ohm coil at 4.8 volts is about 2.67 amps you should be fine but don't use any lower ohmed coil heads.
A 1.6 ohm coil at 4.8 volts comes out to 3 amps. Not sure too sure about riding that red line. But I use 1.6's on my ego twists and they seem fine. But i'd still stick with the 1.8 ohm coil heads.

If you use the 0.2 ohm/0.5/1.2 coil heads it's going to be baaad for your and your vape pen.

As far as the threads, this aspire atlantis tank has 510 threads, and if your battery is anything like an ego battery than it might have threads on the inside of its connector area. I am assuming the tank you were using had threads that screwed on to the outside of your vape's connection right? The larger threads on the outside of the connector are usually reffered to as ego cone threads. Check inside your vape's connector and see if you can see threads all around the contact.

I have some aspire ET-S bdc glassomizers for my ego batteries they are 1.6 coils and I have them with the ego twist battery. They work pretty well and they are fairly cheap. I got mine from worldofvape for about $7 each for the tanks, and a 5 pack of coil heads is about $8.

The aspire atlatnis is build for more sub ohm vaping and it's not going to preform well with your vape pen.

I don't know how well the alantis tank will preform with your battery but at 1.8 ohms its worth a shot. If your battery isn't doing too good you should look up istick30watt devices. Those are fairly cheap at about $30 each and they preform very well.

I hope I helped you out.

I'll be honest and say i don't really understand a lot of that but I've seen videos about coils and that but where is the coil located ?

I think sending it back is a good call. I would recommend something like this Vision Spinner Joye Ego-C Twist Combo to start with. My recommendations on the options would be 1300 Spinners for the batteries, and T3s for the tanks. It might look like more money, but you get two complete set-ups for the price. The only other thing you need is eliquid. Good luck, and come back with more questions, if you have them!

I got some pics for you, hopefully these can clear a few things up for you.

This pic is my old ego-c twist battery. Notice how it has 2 sets of threads. The big threads on the outside are ego threads. The smaller threads on the inside are called 510 threads.

This pic is the bottom of that aspire et-s tank I talked about before. It has ego threads for fitting onto ego style batteries.

And this one is showing my aspire et-s tank on my ego c twist battery.

The tank on the left is a Lemo drop. This tank is a rta(rebuildable tank atomizer) I wouldn't recommend this tank for any new vapors because it requires you to build your own coils. It has 510 threads. The small black tank on the right in the aspire et-s with it's ego threads. Here you can easily see the difference between the two styles of threads.

Since my ego twist battery has both sets of threads it can fit either of the two tanks on to it. The 510 threads on my lemo drop screw into the smaller threads on the inside of the connector. The lemo drop over hangs quiet a bit lol but It would be possible to use an ego style battery, But with using any big power tank like this you want to be sure it's safe.

This pic below shows a 5 pack of aspire bvc coil heads for the aspire et-s tank.
22et6t.jpg

If you can see into this coil head, there is a little metal coil inside in. Kinda hard to see it.

I unscrewed the base from the aspire et-s tank so you can see where the coil head goes.

Here is a close up of the coil heads I'm using. At the top it has some serial number you don't need to worry about that. But below the serial number is says 1.6 and a little horse shoe looking symbol. This is the ohms/resistance symbol. Then in parenthesis is says 3.0v to 4.2v. That means it's recommended to run this coil between 3 volts and 4.2 volts.
2cy1v7a.jpg

Just about all coil heads for any tank list the resistance of the coil, on the coil itself. it is important to know what the resistance of your coil is so that you don't push our battery too hard. I strongly recommend reading up on the "ohms law" and battery safety.

So the aspire et-s tank is alright. It does leak and gurgle from time to time but usually it's not too bad. I'm sure there are better ego style threaded tanks that will preform better, but the aspire et-s tank preforms better than any disposable tanks I've tried. Although this aspire et-s tank is NOT disposable. The coil heads are but not the whole tank itself.... I think your actually supposed to recycle those coil heads when they go bad.

If your looking to upgrade I'd recommend an istick 30 watt and an aspire Atlantis tank. Right now I believe you can get this set up for about 60 American dollars. I don't know how much that is over seas. At mbbakervapor You can get an istick30w and a aspire atlantis tank for $66.48. You can use a coupon code: vaporfrombaker and get 10% off. Mtbakervapor also has some pretty good eliquids at a reasonable price. I usually always get the blue berry and it's been on sale forever.

The vision spinner 1300mah is not a bad choice. It's smaller than this istick set up but also less powerful. If you want a smaller set up than this wouldn't be a bad option. I'd recommend getting 2 of the vision spinners so you can use one while the other one is charging lol. My ego twist got me off cigs for good. Been almost a year and a half since I've smoked a cig.
