It works now using the techniques linked by sashwa (thanks again).

Ya it's not the atty interface that's the problem but more of the not so good tolerances used by atty manufacturers.
But thanks N8T for looking into it. One can only go far enough to compensate for others' inability to maintain tolerances.

At least you got it figured out and its working now. Thats what counts.

Ya, just go slow. Sand, fit, sand, fit until it just fits perfectly.

well, it seems I might have just gotten a bad one. please disregard, this one seems to not fit any of my devices. looks like I will be only buying cisco specs from now on.

jay, some of the newer cisco 306s aren't fitting on some devices either. So it's not just ikv 306s.

nono these are straight joyes from another vendor. so yeah it is definitely a few out there that are having issues.

Sorry. I thought by cisco specs you meant the cisco attys. My bad.
