Help with a fuse

0453015.MR - LITTELFUSE - FUSE, 15A, 65VAC/VDC, VERY FAST, SMD | Farnell element14

Been looking at these replacements because they are in the UK.
Any help from somebody who understands fuses would be great. The Gus mods require SMD fuses I think. Would this fuse work? Thanks

Fast blow fuses are usually used for solid state circuit protection so they may blow too quickly. You may be best off just ordering them directly from Gus mods, it looks like they have them in stock.

Cool thanks it's just the that I can get slow blow and time delay from the same company. Can get 15, 30 even 40 amp which I wouldn't want. Cheaper as well. Any slow blow smd fuse then?

the one you listed is way too strong for what you want...

you basically want to use a fuse that is wattage rated.. such as 8V at 20A ( 8X20 = 160W)

the one you listed is rated for 975W of power at any time to make it break

seems a SM item would be counter productive to changing out a defective/blown item... I understand that footprint is at a premium on such a small board but .... SMD fuse??

I would swing more towrds this one...

Thanks a lot BK. My that's a lot of reading. Fuses are way beyond me. Cool. Il have a go but maybe Ronald3638 is right. Il just pay a little more and get them from Greece. It's just I like the idea of the fuse but I built a .23 percent with the 12 amp just to test it. I pressed the button for 4 secs and it didn't blow, so I thought I'd try elsewhere. Thanks

that is the detail sheet ( technical data sheet) that is attached to each fuse listed from the site you posted in your OP...
when dealing with electronics... read the detail sheet

I know but I just wanted to get the fuse and plug and play. I know that's not great but with the 2cents I just put it on and I'm good. It just don't quite fit. Thanks again
