is there any mod better then a ProVari
Looking at it 30 days after venturing into e-cigland, I personally would not buy something necessarily on the basis of what is best, or top dog ... as best could encompass numerous other considerations such as price, features and style. One day I'm sure a Provari will be on the horizon, but I don't need one now to meet my current requirements.

There are clearomizer tanks, which are like large capacity (2.5-4ml) clearomizers. To get the liquid to the heating coil (atomizer), they utilize silica string wicks. Popularly known collectively as a Vivi Nova. These are filled by unscrewing the top cap. Wicks must be kept wet by swirling the juice around the tank. Often accused of muting some flavors. Not a favorite of mine. Most of these have rebuildable heads, mean the tank is reusable and new atomizers are inserted.

There are two basic types of cartotanks. These use a cartomizer with holes in it that allow juice from the tank to enter the cartomizer which has the heating coil(s) and polyfill material which wicks and holds the juice until it is vaporized.

Some of these cartotanks use silicone grommets in place of the more expensive end caps. Many of these tanks are somewhat difficult to deal with because the grommets fit so tight on the carto to prevent juice leakage, therefore it is hard to assemble the tank and fill/refill with juice. Not normally a fan of these, but some work well like my frog pyrex tank.

Then there are the higher quality tanks that have endcaps on each end. These are easily assembled and easy to fill/refill. The better tanks use pyrex glass. The metal endcaps make them more expensive than the grommet tanks, because of the human labor involved in milling the steel, aluminum, or chrome.

Another type of cartotank is like the so-called "Lava Tanks". These have a particular shape and style. The large mouthpiece and top cap are one piece, and twist off of the tube for easy juice filling.

At this point of my vaping experience, cartotanks give me the best flavor. But that is more the function of the cartomizer than the actual tank. The tank is just a juice reservoir. The actual carto is what is responsible for making the vapor...and the flavor.

The tank does keep the carto's polyfill moist if working properly, so a carefree vape can last for quite a long time, depending upon the capacity of the tank and how much an individual vapes. Juice capacity can be as much as 8ml in the largest tanks.

I just bought my first RBA this past weekend, and am awaiting for its arrival. Many who have used these claim that they provide the best flavor, on par with dripping with an atty, which is an artform unto itself. I never got the hang of doing it, myself.
