Anyone have any ideas about the replacement o-rings for a V1 AFS? Not sure that I need them yet, but I might. I removed all of them and currently have the bare metal pieces soaking in a solution right now. I'll check the rings more closely later, but maybe a good cleaning will do fine for them.

o-rings for V1 are 9mm internal diameter and 1,5mm in width my friend Cyp. As for the tarnish, I want to say that if the previous customer didnt took care of it then the result is what you got. Metals are not plastic, they need care. They are strong but they want treatment. If you deside to clean the AFS you got then you will see that it was worth the pain:)

I'm sure that it is worth it Imeo. It won't beat me...

Are those the dimensions of the larger diameter (thinner) rings on each of the caps, just near the threads? Or are you talking about the fatter o-rings, I have 4. Thanks.

sorry friend!!!!!! I was thinking of the beta AFS. Please forget what I said. The fat o-ring between caps are 8 intermal diameter and 3mm in width and the bigger and thinner o-rings are 17/1 or 17/1,5:)

Thanks Imeo. Now I just have to find them. Mine are going to be ok (I think), but I'd like to have a set on hand, just in case.

the fat ones will not get damaged easy but the thin ones much sooner so yes you need spares. If you dont find them elsewhere you can take them from Lisa or Rob:)

Just picked V1 up from my classified ad, came in today!

I was excited to see that it was almost as grunky. The threads were in great shape, not so much neglected, just unused.

Had to fire up the dremel tool and go to town. Shiny as a mirror now. Almost makes me want to find more of them just to restore.

Was kind of a fun evening project...perfect for OCD types.

You know I actually had fun bringing back that one I got second hand also. The beta tank and the V1 are collectors items now and still work great. The original orings are still holding juice on my beta tank like the day I got it back in October. And now that we have the carto trick they will keep getting used long after those laser holed V1 iatties are gone. I still have a stock of em and use them so sparingly....
Imeo, are you going to get some more of the V1 laser holed iatties for us on this next atomizer run?

I think that with an adapter 901 to carto they can work with regular atties or cartos too Keith. Do you want to try? I dont have V1 here

Customers are still requesting v1 atomisers with the laser holes for their v1 AFS. We need those back in stock for them because there's what, 80 v1 users out there still? I am sure a good proportion of them still use it and need these atties.

Lets wait for Keith results and we talk again Lisa

Although this test MAY work there will always be a market for the laser holed atties. IMHO. I personally would like to be able to get more of them. I just like the way that system works and I am sure there are probably people out there in the GG world still using their AFS V1 and beta for that matter. I wouldn't think the demand is like it was but... we do need to support those with the V1. Maybe we should start a poll to see how many people are still using that system.....?

If V1 users can vape with regular atomizers I dont think that anyone will want the laser ones Keith

I really have found that I'm liking my v1 better than my v2 for carts. I think the V2 for me still reigns superior with atties though.

I am going to try and get as many of these V1s as I can, I have two now... so I can switch flavors on the fly. Which is funny, at first I hated my V1 compared to the V2.

Once I find a HV cart though, the V2 may win out.

Of course I'd give one of my nuggets for a beta tank hehe... I don't mean that literally.... unless someone is a nugget short :D

I think I may not ever collect all the GG mods.. but I sure as heck am gonna collect the AFSs just because of their utility. I am obsessed with these things.

I think I'm good in the "nugget" department as well and you can't have my Beta tank either

LOL

Thats okay.. You guys deserve them. It was all in jest.. but you knew that.
You will always have a piece of vaping history, and thats pretty fun.

I have certain things like that, even if I quit vaping (yeah right) they would only leave my cold dead hands...
