Hi! I'm new to this forum and this is my first post.

Currently I have:

Tripl3 eGo battery
Tripl3 eGo charger (came with battery)
Elite clearomizer ($7.99)
And (my favorite) coffee flavor eliquid with 18 mg of nicotine

I've had this "build" (somewhat new to vaping) for about 4 months now. And like everyone else, I would like to upgrade.

I've decided on what mod I want. And that is the black chrome vamo v5. I have seen many reviews and it is the right size and seems to have a lengthy life expectancy.

I would like to know, can I use my eGo charger with the batteries for the vamo? Or do I have to buy a new charger? And will a decent tank from a local vape shop work on the vamo? I'm not sure what else to ask so just help me!! I don't want to spend more than $100 but if I have to I will.

I plan on keeping my tripl3 for the car (not leaving it in there) and keeping my expensive vape (vamo) at home for relaxing.

Also! Reply with your favorite flavor! I'd love suggestions!

The vamo v5 will require a separate charger and battery as well as a tank/clearomizer of your choice. Or you could go with an innokin mvp2 which "is" a battery just like the ego's you are used to. It comes with a charger and a tank. Both are vv/vw devices but the vamo goes to 15 watts whereas the mvp2 stops at 11 watts. They are roughly the same price, but then with the vamo, you still have to buy a battery and a chager and a clearo.

Im not putting down the vamo, I'd love to have one. I think they are pretty slick...the mvp2 is just more cost effective in my opinion.

Personally, I own a Vamo V3 and a V5 and love them. They're what call a "laymans PV".. just a good build at a low price. Keep in mind, they're not as durable as other mods out there, but if you take care of it, they'll be just fine.

The MVP is also has a low price, but I'd say they're a bit better when it comes to travelling. Like what leonidas said, they don't put out the wattage like the vamo does. They are a box mod, and look really nice.

those two are the low end of the spectrum when it comes to price. People here might suggest you get something a bit more expensive, and that's totally up to you. Only thing cheaper, are EGO style VV batteries, or the Itaste series. Other than that, you'll have to pay more.

The mvp2 is that the big blocky one? Because I want something a little smaller than that

The MVP is pretty small; about the size of a pack of cigarettes. It is actually more pocket-friendly than the Vamo. It is also a more durably built mod than the Vamo; the Vamo has a history of easily stripped connector threads and faulty buttons. Add to the fact that you have to purchase replaceable batteries and a box charger for the Vamo, but the MVP uses a USB charger which comes with the kit.

It's not the fact I don't want to spend a ton. I want an expensive mod and all. But I don't want to go blowing $200-$400 dollars.. I got insurance to pay. You know?

I am in the exact same boat. I chose a Vamo, and am still impressed and defend it. :) It's a good mod, and I still use my Vamo V3 AND V5. It's been my "standard".

I've slowly built up a few PV's.. right now, I have a Vamo V3 I use for the "flavor of the month", Vamo V5 I use for my at home/car vape, a mech mod I use for my high nic content/outings, and an EGO Variable voltage for light outings and as a "to go All day vape". Granted, I didn't buy all these at once. And even still, I've paid a total of $200 in the last year for all my mods/toppers.. Not all at once, just occasionally.

I love the VAMO too and it's gonna be my first upgrade soon. I've read that the black chrome finish chips off easily so I'm going with stainless steel. For tanks I'm getting a couple Pro Tank II's with an airflow ring. I've done a LOT of research and I can't wait =)

For liquid, I'm still buying 15ml bottles from Mt Baker vapor, I've never gotten anything from them that wasn't good. Some needed to steep for a couple weeks but I'm addicted to Blue Moo (2 flavor shots) and Vanilla Cola with 2 shots. My boyfriend looooves Betelgeuse from Nicoticket and he'd drink it if he could. Make sure you post some pics when you get your new gear!

Yeah man. I was intending on buying the vamo v5 on my next paycheck with all the accessories and using my good ole tripl3 eGo for when I leave the house. That way I don't break my precious mod that I paid so much for, instead break a $25 battery. Is there anyway you recommend getting a vamo v5? Because my local vapor shop sells them for $100+ and I've heard they are cheaper other places

Here's where I got mine. But be prepared to wait... $32.43 Vamo V5 Variable Voltage/Wattage Mod / APV - stainless steel at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Shipping times are about a month after you order.. but you get it for MUCH cheaper. if you want it sooner, I'd recommend: VAMO V5 - Stainless Steel His shipping times are usually faster. Pretty much any place inside the US would be faster, since it doesn't have to wait for customs. Also, I'd recommend NOT buying batteries from China unless it's a seperate order. Customs has been picky lately about shipping lithium batteries.

What all does it come with? Just the mod? How much would everything else be with it?

Yes, it comes with just the mod. batteries and charger would be needed. They do sell starter kits, but most starter kits come with cheap batteries and charger.

I've never ordered from here, but others say it's ok, but here's something I would check out for batteries/chargers

http://101vape.com/batteries-chargers/141-nitecore-intelecharger-i2.html - Real good charger.
Batteries - 101 Vape - a page of batteries.... I recommend button tops for the Vamo. I have an Efest 1600 battery that does not work in my Vamo, but other flat tops do, all the button top batteries I have will work. If you get a flat top, I cannot guarantee it works. Also, 18650 is preferred for longevity, and get two batteries.. one to charge, the other to vape.

anyways, I am heading to bed.... I'll check this thread tomorrow and will reply. I would stay up, but it's getting real late here.
