Hey.
I know this is the wrong place to post this but it won't let me post in the technical part

Okay, usually I use a bog standard 650 MaH socialites battery. I've had no problems with it for months.
Then today I asked my mother very politely if I could use one she was having issues with due to buying the X-jet clearomizer.
This battery is an Ibreathe (not sure on the MaH :( ) Much larger and slightly more powerful, perfect for the clearomizer.
So here's the issue. When I'm about to screw it into the X-jet it flashes twice. (As soon as the threads touch.) And then sometimes I will hold the button and it will work for about 2 puffs. Then it either just doesn't want to turn on or it just stays on for about 10 seconds and doesn't get the X-jet fired up. It will either work for 2 puffs or wont. So I did the old center pin and tried charging it. Then I noticed the problem with charging it. I will screw it into the Usb charger (Connected via PC) and it flashes on the battery but also on the charger it flickers between red and green for a moment then holds on green. Again when I'm connecting it, it'll flash twice.
This problem arose instantly when bought with my Mum, but she put it down to her clearomizer and forgot about it. I on the other hand seen an oppurtunity for a slightly more powerful choice of power for my X-jet as it just drains my Socialite battery.

Anyone have any solutions as to what it may be?

Thanks in advance to anyone who replies.
And Hey! I'm a new guy :D

Once again cheers.

Hi McFooger.

X-jet is a Vision clearomiser (is it?) and these should be reliable.

The other stuff you have is a mystery to me. I know both iBreathe and Socialites... both are desperately cheap and nasty.

You could ask on AAEC UK about charging and the meaning of all the lights.

Or, pop into Rojeans in Liverpool, they will help you out and tell you if you need new stuff. If you say you were recommended to try them by somebody on UKV, they'll treat you with total fairness.

Yeah I think so. I got it on the cheap because the shop I go to near me gave it on a discount because it was better than what I wanted. I didn't get a box with it, kinda was unboxed and given to me.
I am thinking of investing on a more reliable and larger battery as I feel that my current batteries aren't up to par.
I agree with what you say.
But If I get anyone who can think of a simple fix or just saying it's a goner, either way it's just temporary.
But thanks djsvapour, I'll take a stroll down to Rojeans and check it out.

not a simple fix , not positive whats going on but it might be a ground wire has broke loose , it can really cause some quirky stuff , ive had to resoldier the ground wire on a couple of ego batts in the past and worked and charged fine when fixed if your not comfortable taking it apart i would just buy a new one may want to try an ego twist i hear many love them for the small size and adjustable voltage

I have 1/2 dozen Ego Twists (650mah, 900mah, & 1100mah) and found that they worked quite well.
Recently tho, I bought one that worked for 10 days, then quit. The button (green) shows that it's charged,
but it won't transfer the energy to any of my tanks. The seller said I probably dropped it, but I hadn't.

Just to add: If I knew how to take it apart, I'd give that a go. Any suggestions?

you have to remove both ends they are pressed in i found by screwing in a 510 atty and giving a side to side push while also pulling it will come out just try not go overboard with the side to side part or it will turn your tube from round to oval , for the bottom i found a knife blade the best way to work a small gap between the tube and the bottom cap , once you get a gap you can grab the cap with pliers with out fear of marring the bottom of the tube hope this helps

So the problem you are having is with the ibreathe?

Then the problem with charging; are you using the correct charger? Using the wrong charger is dangerous. The common eGo size chargers are labeled 4.2 volt 420mA. There is a smaller charger for cigalike batteries labelled 4.2v 120mA. And there are some cheap charger things that actually have no electronics and go straight usb 5Volts relying on the battery itself to have the electonics to do the charging.
