Help with cloudy Black Licorice from Flavor West

I'm using Flavor West Black Licorice at 15% in a 60PG40VG mix with 18mg nic. The first batch I made was clear as a bell, the next batch is completely cloudy. They both vape the same and taste great, just can't seem to figure out why the second batch is so cloudy.

I rinse my syringes in hot water between flavours and make sure they are dry. Could it be a bit of water getting into the mix?

Absolutely - water makes anise oil turn cloudy. It's called 'louching' and is part of the fun of drinking actual absinthe in the traditional manner. You'll see the same effect with most licorice, anise, and absinthe flavorings.

Excellent. I will try another batch with a syringe that I am sure is absolutely dry.
