My boyfriend just received this e-cig from DealExtreme: sku 25043.

He doesn't like the taste of the cartridges that came with it. He smokes Marlboro. What do you suggest?

This is his first try with e-cigs and I really want him to be successful.
Hi formalek,
The DX e-cig is par at best and i hate to say it but you get what you pay for. I did the sane thing as my first e-cig was from DX and it was just terrible from the get go. #1 you will need to purchase some marlboro flavored e-liquid from one of the forums supporting suppliers. This will eliminate your bad tasting carts. The other problem you will have is battery life. The DX just can not handle the demand he is going to want. The Dx is a intro e-cig but don't get discouraged as there is many better brand name (quality) products. If your BF thinks that the e-cig is something he may want to pursue, i suggest purchasing a nice new starter kit like maybe a dse-901 model. This will set him back about $50 + a bottle of refill liquid.

Good luck and enjoy.

Hey formalek,

WElcome to the forum!

My direct advice would be to spend some time in the forum, and read some info about e-liquids.

He might be still tasting the so called "primer fluid" of the atomiser... it might take time for that taste to be gone... somewhere beteen an hour and a few days depending on the e-cig...

I dont know about the DX e-cigs - some say they`re worth buying...

So,... my advice would be - keep vaping and if the taste does not change within several hours....get some e-liquid.

You can choose between local suppliers that will get it to you faster or ordering from China which is cheaper...

Once you get it if there is still liquid in the cartridges... take the filter out of them with the tweezers, wash them under tap water, dry them with a paper towel, and refill them with liquid..

There are video tutorials as well ;)

Sorry, I`m too lazy to provide you with the correct links in the forum..
