Just fiddled around with it again and used 3 inches of the 30gauge wire, made 8 wraps around 3 folds of 3mm silica (9mm total diameter) and its even better. Came out to 2ohm running it at 5.5v. With 8 wraps of the 30awg i got a ton of surface area and since the ohms are higher i can run it at more volts to get higher watts, therefore making the thicker coil heat up quicker.

Nice. When I first got some 30ga after having only used 32ga, I noticed better flavor but was surprised by how much more power it needs for the coil to quickly heat up. My VAMO can really only do about 11 watts without stacking batteries, which wasn't quite cutting it as far as the reaction time of the coils I prefer, so got some 31ga which I like a lot. Later found out if I do the micro coils with the wraps touching it really ups the reaction time and even with 30ga I can get great results around 9-10 watts.

I tried a dual coil build and it just isn't working for me. I tried using it with that new bakero flat ribbon wire but it was just kinda tough since the igo-l doesn't have holes in the post that I can push the wire through. I'd get it all wrapped up and tightened down but the coils would not fire or sometimes only the part coming off the positive post would light up. I was probably shorting it out somewhere along the way..

Long story short, I gave up on the bakero build and just used some 28 gauge A1 kanthal. It didn't seem to work either. Sometimes, one coil seemed to be brighter than the opposite one. Sometimes I'd get 3 out of the 4 coils on each side to light up. I poked and prodded, moving it around with no success. I thought this device would be easier to work with than my smok rda but so far, no luck. Been looking for a good quality daul coil build tutorial for the igo-l on YouTube but I haven't found one.
