Hi all, been a long time since I posted here. I just picked up a new e-cig yesterday, and I'm having a minor issue. I bought an Ego, which came with one disposable tank with a wick in it, and I bought one refillable tank that unscrews and inside is a metal tube with filler material. I'm sorry, but I didn't get the name of the refillable tank. I can post a pic if needed. I also bought two bottles of juice, both 50/50 "Kingdom Vapor" brand. One is espresso flavored, the other is a red bull knock off flavor. So now you know my set-up, here is my minor issue:

Little to no flavor. Vapor production and throat hit are satisfactory, and with the espresso flavor, I get a tiny amount of taste, but with the "red energy" flavor, I get almost zero flavor. What's the secret? Different tanks? Different juice brand? Technique?

I have a well stocked shop nearby, but they just started carrying this stuff, so the staff is trying, but still learning.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

A quick search leads me to believe that the tank my cig came with is the Vision Clearomizer. I'm attaching a picture of the extra tank I bought for possible identification. Neither one produces much flavor. The shop also sold an evod, which they recommended, but were out of. Would that get me more flavor?

Could be a couple of things. I would center on the juice first. Strength of flavor is highly variable between vendors. In addition, taste is very subjective. I have juices that get raves from many vapers, but I either cannot taste the flavor or it seems very muted, no matter what device I put it in. Second, is your eGo batt variable voltage? If so, fiddling with the voltage can make a difference in the flavor. Clearomizers are said to produce the "least" flavor, but again I find that varies from juice to juice. Your cartomizer (your "metal tube with filler material") should generally produce better flavor, but YMMV. Just keep experimenting. You will find the set-up that works for you. And be sure to talk it over with the guys at the store.

Not really enough info on the type of juice to help a lot. But I will say that with a brand new vision clearomizer type tank there should be some flavor. it does get muted pretty quickly as you use it more but when it's new it's pretty good. My cartos always seem to give me good flavor too.

I agree with Stosh's advice about trying to help the coil on the tank wick better. That could be your problem. But what kind of juice are you using (% vg/pg & nic mg)? Also, have you let it sit out opened for a while (steep)? Some juices need to steep in order to taste good. If you try them right when you get them they're not very tasty.

My juice is Kingdom Vapors, 50/50, both 18mg nic. I didn't let them steep, I didn't know I had to. How long do I leave them open?
