Yes, they are both regarded as safe. One is not more safe than the other, but on rare occasion a person may find that they have an adverse reaction to one or the other (never both, as far as I've seen) including rash, sore throat and similar symptoms.

PG will provide better throat hit and clarity of flavor.
VG will provide more clouds or vapor but may mute the flavor of the juice.
Lots of people mix them together (usually 80%PG and 20%VG)

It's just up to your preference.

Safer? As in allergies (a few folks are allergic to one or the other)? PG was sprayed on the tobacco in cigs to control the moisture. PG is used as a compounding agent in mixing pharmacies. Don't know that it is any safer than VG though.

Yes, you can use PG, VG, or mixes of the 2 in any atty or carto that I know of.

PG is usually best for TH. VG is usually best for more vapor production. I usually mix my juices to 80/20 PG/VG in most of my recipes. But that is just me.

Thanks so much for your help.I have read about some on here having breathing probs with PG.

NP. Don't know of a test to determine if you're allergic to either before trying it.

(One of my son's has an allergy to watermelon, even artificial flavoring, and he was heart broken when I told him that he could never eat another watermelon.)

Give it a try and don't worry about it unless you start getting a rash and chest tightening. PG flushes out of the system pretty quickly so drink plenty of water as you vape to help your body out.

...it can happen with VG too, but more often with PG. It's just an allergy, nothing wrong with the product.

Some people are allergic to strawberries but strawberries are not considered dangerous as a whole.

I've tried:

80PG/20VG
75PG/25VG
50PG/50VG
25PG/75VG
10PG/90VG

I seem to lean toward VG more than PG. I like a lot of vape and the sweetness. I still get a killer TH when I do 50/50 and 25/75. Once u get into vaping hard core you'll start to mix and test things out. As all DIY Vapers do.

GL finding what suits you best.
