Basically, that smaller post is to use with a silica wick build. I have seen a video from UK vapers of a build on the AGA with two stainless wicks and two coils and another video with a u-wick build. If you want to do either of these then you need to remove that small post (it comes out with some surgery with pliers and a few taps). The vapor from this thing is great with a single coil but with two it is ridiculous. I am going to give the u-wick a go on my next build. Have fun!

Okay first off, you'd be better off asking this in the RBA section:

For your questions...
1. Not sure about dual coils...don't know WHY you would want one, but to each their own.

2. That smaller post can be used as a negative connection. Again, I can't see why you would want to use it, I'm sure there are some crazy wick/wire setups that it can be used for, but I do not know or see the need for it.

edit - May have bee wrong about the negative connection, but I've read that's what it's for...hmm.
