Help with vv

Hi all. Just after alittle help please.
I have made a couple of torch mods and now wanting to make a vv box mod. I have the madvape vv regulator and was wondering if it has to use 2 18650s or if it can use 1?
I would like to use only 1 but all the vv box mods I've seen use 2 18650s or 2 14500s.

Well, you could tell me how long you've been vaping for.

You need to give the server 30 mins to reset before you can post there.

Been vaping for a few months now. Got all the family and some friends into it aswell. Now I'm trying my hand at habit of modding. Got two torch mods under my belt so far.

That is a buck regulator. The batteries are run in series to produce about 7.4 volts and then regulated down to what you want. That is why there are 2 batteries.
