So last night I went to take my z atty off my ggts and all of a sudden it stopped about 3 threads up. It will not come off and i tried everything, added heat to expand the zatty a little, tapped it on both the top cap of the ggts and the top of the zatty post, pliers and then vise grips and the only thing that happened was the vise grips cut through the rubber pad i had and ruined the finish on the ggts top. Ive been vaping for about a year and have never had anything like this happen before. When i screwed the z atty on it was pretty smooth and i dont torque it on real tight but when i first screwed it off it was really crunchy almost like the threads were cross threading so i went to tighten it down hoping it was just a dirty thread or something and backing off woukd clean it. Well it stopped turning and its 100% stuck. Just wondering if anyone has had this problem and if not any suggestions? Do you think zen or imeo would cover that in any kind of warranty? If anyone can help let me know. Also there is a kick stuck in there too so right now i have a very expensive mess on my hands and this was my hands down favorite set up so im pretty bummed.

ohhhhhhhhhhh. Expensive mess holy crap man thats an understatment. I have never heard of this before, then again I dont have one either. To what extent did u heat it up? and have you tried using olive oil, or something like. I might make sure it is an eatable just to be on the safe side. That is really all the advice that I would have

Also I wouldnt know the breaking point of the connection on the ggts so any suggestion on that would tourqe on that sweet thing at your own risk

Sounds pretty odvious that the threads are just crossed though but I could be wrong. Try lub(eatable oil) first
Hope this helps

Yeah i tried olive oil but because the kick is in there i can use to much without risking ruining it and i heated it up a decent amount but i could only go so far because of the kick. And im debating on just leaving it cause it still works, it just looks terrible and i dont have a replacement top cap so im stuck with that configuration. Also thanks for the response but yeah im thrinking its cross threaded too but ive never had anything cross thread that was already threaded. Its really weird

The z atty is the female end for the gg it screws onto the top tube of the gg and the battery or kick hits the brass screw on the bottem of the zatty for the connection. When i heated it i did the outside bottem of the zag where it threads onto the gg.

I was under the impression that the zatty had the outer threads and the ggts the inner threads. But while I haven't had reason to try this I have heard that putting it in the freezer for a bit can help

That's exactly how it is set up (thought that meant the zag was the female) either way I'll try the freezer idea tonight I'm truly terrible at explaining things so maybe how I explained it doesn't make sense but Nancy explained it perfectly

Think of it in simple terms, the male end fits inside the female end.

Well I thought about how to solve this problem, and I came up with nothing so I'm gonna leave it be and just get a new top tube whenever I can. Since it still functions there is no reason to risk destroying something in the name of looks. Hopefully the kick will last awhile cause that's the only weak link I see. Thanks for the help

If it helps any, the top tube of my newer GGTS (#39xx) did not screw in to either ZAG I have. Older GGTS top tube (#31xx) does. I ended up putting the ZAG on the telescoping tube on the newer one.

Thanks I'm glad I'm not the only one with a thread problem I have another z atty on the way so I'll just screw it onto the telescope tube. I hope I can find someone willing to sell an older top tube.
