I just purchased a used Saber Touch. I am trying to get it to work with my Trustfire 18650 batts and an ego mega dual coil. Inside the battery tube says to use 18650 or rcr 3volt batts, but I'm not getting any fire. Is there a trick that I should know about here?

Tried that...no joy.

The guy I got it from had some luck getting a couple of 16340s with a magnetic spacer to fire a high resistance CE2 cargo, but we never could get it work with an 18650.

I'm not too sure it's really such a grand idea to be running 7 volts through it though...maybe he fried it or something??

By the way, this combo works perfectly in my Shine mod from Parkes, so I know the cargo and adapter are good.

Have you tried another atty or carto without an adapter? Reason being is on my VV, certain adapters will not work as they are to short to make contact in the atty connector.

If memory serves me right, the correct batteries are the 16340's. I've never heard of another type of battery that will work in these unless Sir Lawrence changed something.

On the inside of the tube it says 1 18650 or 2 rcr 3 volt batteries. Doesn't say anything about 16340s at all...but I sure don't know. It doesn't fire my dcc mega carto either way.

Not yet. I'm away from home so I'm thinking you may be right on with this. When I get back home Sunday I'll try an Acorn tank.

OK, got home and looked everything over real well. I suspected the issue to be the spring, so I removed the rubber pad and spring and noticed some black junk under there. Scraped it out and cleaned the cap real well, then stretched the spring out a little, put it bac together and it's hitting every time now. Thanks for everyone's suggestions!! proud new Sabre Touch owner.
