Help!

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone can help me. I recently bought my first mod which was a Kamry KTS Version 2. I have been vaping with the cartomizer tank it had but I decided that I wanted to upgrade and buy something that will produce more flavor and vapor than the tank it came with (Which isn't great at all). I went to my local vape shop and bought a Kranger Protank-2. Not the mini one by the way. So they installed it for me and informed me about the tank and the replacement part that is a metal piece with a piece of silica wick on it and doesn't use your average cartomizer. But since my battery was dead I decided to go home and get a battery I alwasy leave charging and decided to finally test out the Protank and I tried to puff but it sounded like when you are trying to drink from a straw on an almost empty milkshake and it produced ok vapor but then it started throwing drops of juice into my mouth as I started trying to inhale and noticed because of it my juice was almost out after just 6 hits. I was angry and noticed that the tank wasn't screwed in all the way so i refilled the tank and screwed it in but now that it was screwed in pretty well. Then I started trying to hit but then there was absolutely no air flow. I couldn't inhale anything no vape not even air. The tank was assembled well. Everything was as it should be. I was angry. So I decided to unscrew it a little to allow airflow but it was again sending drops of e juice in my mouth as I tried to inhale and again my juice was almost empty after a few drags. Then I unscrewed it and blew into the tank with a napkin on the other end to catch any drops that might be in the mouth piece and decided to screw it not to tight to allow airflow and made sure there wasn't any juice in the way. Does anyone know if it's because the design of the KTS doesn't make it compatible with the Protank-2 that it won't allow absolutely no airflow when it's screwed in well? I mean the tank it came with is not giving me any drops in my mouth as I inhale and it has airflow when it's screwed in well. Unlike the Protank-2. If anyone has knowledge on the KTS or if I am not using the Protank-2 properly I would really appreciate your help. Thanks in advance.

My brother had the same issue with his KTS 101 and the Protank 2. If you tighten the tank to much it cuts off the air flow and you'll be sucking up e liquid. I would remove the tank, take it apart and clean everything really well including the mod. Then put it back together and try again. The tank needs to be fairly tight so it doesn't leak. When you put it back on the mod don't over tighten it. If you are still flooding at that point I'd try to replace the head, it is possible to get a bad one.

Yeah man I did exactly as you said but it still happened. :( I went to my local shop and they told me that it doesn't need to be that tight. That it should be more loose. They gave me two 2.2 ohm heads. I set it up again and all of a sudden it works but only when it's not screwed in tight. If it's tightened it cuts of airflow. Which bothered me a bit still but it produced vape only when it's a bit loose. But you were right. I probably got a bad head. Thanks Man. I really appreciate your help. :)

My KTS+ does the same thing with protanks. It even does it with my Kamry made protank style tanks. I never did figure out what was restricting the air flow. I did try drilling out the 2 holes above the 510 threadings on the base of the tank thinking that the 510 connector on the KTS might be restricting the airflow but it didn't help any. The only solution I came up with was a 510-ego adapter. If ya do manage to figure it out please share.
