eleaf is a company. They make the iStick 30W (2200 mah-battery life before recharge). It has a great track record, and gives you room to grow if you decide to move into sub ohm tanks or dripping (not recommended for you at your current level). Compared to what you now use the Nautilus tank will be amazing when paired with the 30W (you don't want anything less than 30 watts, or you'll have to replace the battery AND tank to grow) All good tanks have coils that have to be replaced, or rebuilt (sub ohms and dripper- not recommended for you) .

The full name for the eleaf is iSmoka eLeaf, it's a name brand.

I see a lot that say "leaf" when I google it. Is that just a name? I don't want a leaf unit..LOL

Fasttech usually has the best price. Of course there is a downside as the company is located in China, so it can take 2-3 weeks for in stock items to arrive. So if the absolute cheapest price is the deciding factor for you, then Fasttech is the place to order from, as long as you don't mind waiting.

Eleaf is the manufacturer of the iStick. Getting a popular tank like the Aspire Nautilus is a smart decision because the tank is so popular that you can get the replacement coils everywhere. Even if you go to a B&M that doesn't carry a lot of different brands, odds are excellent that they would at least carry the Aspire tanks and coils. So if you were absolutely out of coils, you could easily stop into any B&M and pick one up.

It's difficult to say exactly where you should get it. If the seller is closer to you, you obviously will get it quicker. I like ordering replacement coils from MyFreedomSmokes. This is because every couple of months or so, they will have a discount code where you can get 40 percent off of replacement coils. They do have a limit of 2 packages per type/brand. So if you were to order replacement Nautilus coils, you would be limited to purchasing 2 packages of the 1.8 ohm coils, and then 2 packages of the 1.6 ohm coils.

With this setup, your only ongoing purchases would be to buy the replacement coils. Like what was posted, a coil can last you anywhere from 10 days to 2 weeks or possibly longer, depending on how much you vape and the type of juice you are vaping. A pack of 5 replacement coils can run you anywhere from $10 to $15.

I second djsvapour's choice. You want something that is variable voltage, so you can either increase or decrease the 'heat'. I also like the safety features on that. The battery is rather small, only 800 mAh, but it doubles as a passthrough, which is much like what you have now. I would strongly suggest you get a second battery! It also comes with what looks like a decent refillable tank.

Here are a few links:
Eleaf iSmoka iStick 30W Box Mod Kit (other colors available)
Eigate Aspire Nautilus Mini - 2ml
Atomizer head for Aspire Nautilus BVC (V2) (recommend the 1.6 ohm coils)

Quick question...I should buy extra coils from what I understand. Is 1 battery enough? Do they last long? I am not sure how these work! Thanks!

The first three links above have in order, 30 watt iStick FULL Kit (includes charger) in pink, but you can find other colors on the same web site. The Aspire Nautilus Mini tank (holds 2.5 ml of juice) full size (5 ml) is also on site, and lastly the coils (a coils lasts on average anywhere from 10 days to 2 weeks of normal use)

This is a full set up, just need juice.

No backup battery necessary? I would be good to go?

I would get a 5 pack of coils to start. I would recommend one iStick 30W battery/mod to start. You have the "stuff" you're now using as a bck up. After you've used it for a few days you'll know how long the battery lasts and the recharge time. (it has pass thru charging so you can vape at a pc while charging). It really doesn't work much different than what you now have, put filled tank on battery, push button and vape.

That is great to know! I spend 8 hours in front of my computer at home (work at home) and that is when I do a lot of my vaping!!! Keeps me from eating! LOL

Thats one reason that starter kits usually have two batteries, two atomizers ( whichever type ) one charger.
One you vape, while the other is charging. Backup of backups for the backups is highly recommended.
Batteries are usually good for 250 to 300 charging cycles.

My recommendations for budget conscious vapers :
Never ever sealed atomizers that you cannot refill. Never ever siaposables of any kind unless you are a very light vaper.
Initial investment is a bit higher, but you are way better off in the long run. These disposable cartomizers are usually proprietary and - as you've found out - cost a LOT of money in the long run.

Don't go as deep as wraaping your own coils yet :) . Just make sure that the coils are replaceable and you running expenses will dwindle down to buying liquids and the off replacement coil...

Enjoy :)

Is that the Eleaf iStick 30W?

The Eleaf iStick 30W will be set on factory maximum voltage/wattage when you get it. It MUST be turned down. Click the fire button 3 times to select watts (look in the LED window) Use the down arrow to set the watts on 10, it's a good starting point.

The Nautilus is a great tank. When you first get it I'd recommend a wash in tap water or vodka (EXCEPT the coil), let dry, use a paper towel, etc. This will remove any "oil" machined parts may have. Then screw the coil into the bottom firmly. Add a drop of juice down the open end of the coil, then fill tank. Screw the bottom with the coil onto the top with the juice. You want it snug but not over tightened, the rubber seal works great. Then cover the air hole and take a couple draws to create vacuum in the tank and soak the wick so you don't get a dry hit. Let it sit for a few minutes and then put on (previously adjusted) iStick 30W. Hold down the fire button and take a draw. If it is too warm, use the down arrow to adjust the heat. If you think you might like it warmer, use the up arrow and take a hit one watt at a time. I vape my Nautilus Mini's at 12 to 15 watts (which is why I suggested 10 watts as a start).

It may sound complicated, but it really isn't any more difficult than your now setup after the first adjustment and settings. Good luck :)

Hello and welcome to the forum! The istick is indeed called the eleaf istick that is marketed by a company named ismoka. I purchased the 30 watt istick about one month ago and I am very happy with the device so far. I purchased the Aspire mini nautilus tank to go with the istick 30.

One more quick question, please? I am just going to go ahead and buy 2 batteries. I like to have one charging while the other is in use. Should I get 2 tanks or will replacing the coil be enough for now?

Good decision on two batteries. As far as how many tanks. That depends on how many flavors you like to vape. If you only vape one flavor, then one tank will suffice. If you like to mix and change flavors through the course of the day, or week, then you need as many tanks as there are different flavors.

Thanks! I will just go with 2 then. I do like to have at least 2 flavors on hand and ready! I am so glad I posted on here. EVERYONE has been a great help!!!

You can certainly do that if you choose. The istick is a "pass through" charging device. (The battery is not designed to be removable and you can use the device while it is plugged in and charging.) At this point, I have 4 different tanks and 3 different batteries because I like to rotate my flavors throughout the day. I can fill the tanks with my daily favorite flavors and rotate depending on my tastes that day. This also helps to prevent flavor fatigue, or getting tired of one certain flavor and ultimately losing taste. If you buy more that one battery, this will make rotating flavors that much easier and ensure that you always have a fully charged battery.
