Hey guys, how are you...I’ve been vaping for 4 years now, and just upgraded to the smok Tpriv. My old 18650’s were worn out, so I went and bought 2 new 3000mh 18650’s. The first time I popped them in, everything was gravy... got almost 2 days out of them. Recharged, put them in, and my Tpriv has locked me out. The screen is on, the LED’s are kit, and, I made sure the (actual) lock is unlocked. All it will let me do is run thru the menu. I tried restarting it... it’s doing everything, but it won’t fire. Does anyone know what might be wrong ? I’m using the matched baby beast tank, and I running at 62. Watts

I don't know if I can post the link (I will try) but there is a firmware upgrade for the smok Tpriv, apparently, and that might help? I'm afraid I don't know that mod, but I do want to welcome you to ECF nevertheless, and hopefully this might be helpful:

It's entirely possible it's something else though, and I might wait for more responses before trying this, honestly, as again, I don't have experience with the mod.

I really might wait until someone else comes along who is more familiar to the device, it may be something simple. With that said, there's never anything necessarily WRONG with an upgrade, other than it may make things harder to trouble shoot, and if it's a mod issue, and it's new, you may want to wait in case it is defective and you need to warranty it.... Just a thought, though I know it's frustrating to have a broken setup you really like.

Is the device reading the Ohms on the coil? If not, then the tank isn't making a connection to the device.

@stols001, your ;ink is being broken by the forum software. You have to put a space in the link text to overcome that.

Hmm... it may be one of those links that can't be posted, but OP, if you do a search on smok g priv updates, it should pop up for you.

Welcome and glad you joined.
Could approach problem by process of elimination. Is it the topper, batteries, mod or other? You seem to have too many variables to examine before your problem can be corrected.
I would try contacting:
Visit local B&M Vape Shop-----Might be simple.
Vendor who sold it ---see if they will repair or replace or advise (any authorized distributor).
Manufacturer contact ---see if they will repair or replace or advise.
