I am a bit confused, if it’s a sub ohm tank doesn’t the coil need to be under 1.0?
Technically, the Crown 1 is sub-ohm tank. But practically speaking, because Uwell designed the tank to also accept their 1.2 ohm coil, you can use standard and sub-ohm coils. This makes the Crown 1 one of the more versatile tanks on the market.

This is one of the reasons why the crown 1 is such a good tank. It’s BOTH a decent MTL and subohm tank. Just change the coil and poof!
Agreed.

That’s awesome. Do you know the difference with the tc and regular coil?
The type of wire used determines what mode the coil should be fired at.

Coil Specifications:
  • 0.15 ohm Dual Ni200 Nickel Uwell Crown Sub-Ohm Coil - 400 to 600 Degrees Fahrenheit. For TC only.
  • 0.25 ohm Dual Stainless Steel Uwell Crown Sub-Ohm Coil - 80 to 120W. TC or Power Mode.
  • 0.5 ohm Dual Stainless Steel Uwell Crown Sub-Ohm Coil - 30 to 80W. TC or Power Mode.
  • 1.2 ohm Single Stainless Steel Uwell Crown Sub-Ohm Coil - 10 to 30W. TC or Power Mode.
I have used all the coils above except the 1.2 ohm coils. My preference is the 0.5 ohm between 30 - 40 watts. I'm not really a fan of TC and use power mode exclusively.
