I got impatient waiting for my fast tech clone, so I found the magoo locally in Boise. I've rebuilt it about 5 different ways in the 9 days I've had it just trying to find the right flavor, and as I was pulling it apart, the plastic nut that holds the negative wire broke in half and fell off. I was able to stick the larger half just under the positive wires to insure insulation, but man this sucks.

I got my Magoo yesterday, and it arrived in the mail alongside some hybrid ekowool from ebay. I think the guy calls it "twik;" it's hollow ekowool with cotton yarn running through the middle. I'm running a dual coil "X" setup at .9 ohms. Seems to be doing ok, but I really have to open up the juice control to avoid dry hits. LIke, I open the juice control all the way, and then tighten half a turn. Seems to be working ok, but I will probably try some cotton yarn for my next wick. The ekowool is getting better, but it has a long break in period, flavor wise. I've been using cotton in everything else, so it makes sense to use it in the Magoo. Peaches and Cream yarn has gotten some good reviews, I'll start with some of that. NOT looking forward to a Walmart trip after work!
Hey, let me know how the Peaches and Cream works out for you ... I've been having wicking issues with mine as well, have to do a lot of dry pulls to get juice up to the coil.
You folks with wicking issues really need to try the MrKrinkle method... 
The juice goes straight to the wicks at the top. I've yet to have a dry-hit on my Herc since July... XC-116 not needed, but I highly recommend it.

Will do. I meant to say Sugar N Cream, I think. Lol. I've seen both, so I'll probably get the white one (peaches is a, well, peach color, sugar is white, from pictures I've seen.) I use sterile cotton balls for my drippers and Protank, so I'm hoping cotton will perform well in the Magoo, also. This hybrid ekowool is good, and better than regular silica, but I just can't get over that silica taste that seems to linger. Edit: added a pic. I love the look of the Magoo on my Chi clone.

How is juice prevented from flowing down the wick channels?
Any juice which does, gets drawn-up while vaping I suppose.. I do know when take it apart, there is only a drop or two of juice (if that) in the base. No leaking, flooding, or dry-hits either..

I finally had a coil pop, and used 2 small pieces of XC-116 side-by-side his time, with a single wire wrapped around both. 3 nicely spaced coils directly over the air-tube. It's vaping great..

So the classic question, which gave you better flavor ... the single or dual coil build? I still can't decide myself .... I only know I prefer the lower heat of the single.
The XC-116 (kiln-treated per 3M specs) alone gives me the best flavor of any wicking I've used since I started vaping 3 years ago. Funny thing is, the dual-coil was 1.0 ohm @ 3.8v on my ProVari 2.5, and I didn't notice any loss of flavor, or surprisingly vapor when the coil popped. The only way I knew, was when I noticed longer battery life, and checked my resistance.. 2.0 ohms @ 3.8v..
The single-coil is now 2.2 ohms @ 4.4v, and honestly, I can't tell much of a difference between it, and the 1.0 ohm dual. Except of course, MUCH better battery life with the ProVari.. I may be taking some longer draws, but the flavor and vapor production is right on the $$ for me..

Awesome, that's great to hear. I would imagine there might be a heat difference too in the vapor. With duals my Herc is a little warmer vapor than I really like sometimes. I kind of have to pulse the button as I'm pulling to control the heat.

Ok, I just tried this with my Oddy (Herc is working well at the moment) and it's definitely feeding better than having the wick in the channel. This particular Oddy's channels get completely filled by 2mm wick, so thinking the empty channel simply feeds better.
hmmm, i have never had feeding issues with my oddy. infact, i keep the juice control almost completely closed! maybe a half turn open.... im using 2mm regular silica in it. still might try that open juice channel method though just to see

Mine is a Tobeco and they seem kind of narrow to me. Herc doesn't have that issue, if anything its the opposite.
I use Peaches n Cream, Ecru color in my Terminator-C and Hercules. On the Hercules I do parallel coils. Doubled over it fits perfectly in a coil wrapped around a 3/32" drill bit. Two strands down the ceramic channel and one strand down the metal channel. I've had no issues with wicking.
