I had to lower the center adjustable positive post in order for mine to make good contact with the VV/VW, only about 1 turn. That can be done with finger nail or small screw driver. How far open do you have the juice adjustment mouth piece? With a full tank I only have mine open about 1/4 turn. If it's opened too much it could possibly cause flooding. But you are right the position of the small washer is very important, and will absolutely cause flooding if not correct. In fact it will probably drain your tank.

I adjusted the brass centre post first while checking my resistance and doing the dry durns, so that bit was fine. But the stock coils just didn't seem to sit right to me. The legs seemed to be too long and the coils didn't really sit low enough in the ceramic cup. I'll re-coil it soon using either a single coil or the X pattern dual coil instead. I probably did get a bit carried away with the juice adjustment, after the first poor draw, I opened it at least a full turn.

I will get it working right, but having most of the juice flood onto my mech and the rest go into my mouth, wasn't the best start

First thing I will check on re-building is that washer, bet it is very loose, all the parts came loosely fitted from FT. Typically the one part I didn't check, causes most of the problems. Thanks for the help anyway Exhaler, I appreciate your input

Forgot all about this thread. After one more disaster with the ithaka, I finally got it set up correctly. Had to swap one of the positive post washers that had a tiny split. Been using the ithaka now for a few days, no leaks, gurgles or any other problems. Really happy I bought it now

I had a wire connection (reisistant-non resistant) come apart so redid the whole thing again. When everything is together correctly, it's great. Need patience for sure.

You're not wrong there mate. At one point I opened a ticket with FT, ready to send it back. But decided to have one last try, found the split washer and it's all good now. Only using a single coil at the moment, but I've run at least 5 different flavours through it. From 80/20 to 50/50 mixes, works great with all of them.

Mine seems to be very hot after a few vape on dual coils at 0.6ohm. Finally got it right at 1.3ohms single coil with no leaks whatsoever. Not sure from which manufacturer it came from tho. Anyone can rectify? Here it is paired on my ghetto backup mod.

I've read somewhere that all clones parts are interchangeable with the authentic Ithaka. Gonna order a steel tank for mine.

ALL Tobeco Ithaka clones (Fasttech) and Rainbow Ithaka clones (Hercules) and GG Ithaka parts interchange, every single piece

When you remove the positive post, it's the little black solid washer that sits above the knurled section. I also added an old Evod cup style washer underneath the rubber washer that holds the positive legs in place. Just for extra piece of mind.

Here's a good video review for the ithaka clone set-up, it might help:

i have to say, this IS the best $35 i've spent on anything since i started vaping! i can't get over how well it vapes. excellent VTF. and sofar i've been lucky, NO leaks. all ive done is strip it down completely, reassemle and bulid a new wick and coil.

i went with 2mm ekowool and a single coil quad wicks. man, i'm loving this thing! haven't touched my kayfun lite since i put a new wick and coil in it. i might add the factory wick and coil setup was terrible. next build im going to try a dual coil crossover wick setup i think...

Hi Baddog; I have put my genuine ceramic into fasttech clone they fit 100%

I've read that most, if not all, of the clone parts are interchangeable with the genuine ithaka parts. Have you tried other parts on the FT clone bwh1 ??

Yes i have tried all parts on genuine and fasttech clone they all fit 100%, I should have bought 5 clones for the same price as genuine ithaka, (More fool me)
