I am new to the whole vape world so....... HELLO! I have no idea what I am doing but I have been a 2 pack a day smoker for 20 years and HATE it! I just got the eleaf IJust Start Plus. I really like it but I think I need something a little more powerful. Or maybe not, hell I have no clue! But I have only smoked a half a pack of cigarettes today so WOOOHOOOOO!!!!

What ever you do keep vaping , it is amazing !!!! so many great flavours and when you find a setup that suits you , , you will wonder how you smoked for so long ...it get alot easier.

You're off to a fantastic start kiddo! Not everyone throws out their cigs the moment they start vaping. It took me nearly 2 weeks to quit the nasties. But in the course of those 2 weeks I only smoked 2 packs. Before my first vape I was smoking 2 packs every day.

Remember.... Count the ones you DON'T smokes not the ones you do.

Keep at it...it took my wife and I about two weeks to switch over. We did it by saying that we had to go outside and smoke but if we choose to vape we allowed it indoors. Best of luck and congratulations - David

To answer your question it could have a lot to do with the liquid you are vaping. Nicotine level and pg/vg blend play as much a part in helping you as power levels do. Generally the higher the pg and nicotine level the more throat hit you get. With that set-up and the fact that you smoked two packs a day I would suggest starting around 12mg nic and a 50/50 blend (standard for most premade juice). If you really want something with a little more I would suggest this kit. iStick 60W TC $28.99 - $34.95 Temperature Control by Eleaf - Eleaf - By Brand The only other thing you need is an LG HG2 battery (also on the site) and your set. I would drop the nic level to around 6 with it though

The day I started vapying on a cheap vape pen my cigs declined from 25 to 5 with no effort so I knew I was on to something. Don't worry about your smoking. Focus on perfecting your vape. I had to fiddle with nic levels. I could hardly taste anything. There were some physical reactions I had to get over. If you don't stop vaping you will stop smoking. I used to spend $3,000 a year smoking a carton a week. Today the cost of ingrediants for a year supply of DIY is $30. Besides feeling better there is a pot of gold at the end of the vaping rainbow.

For many of us it might take a week, weeks or months but you get there and cigarettes seem to loose their appeal. All the best of luck and have faith, you'll do this!

Hi Oot420. Welcome to the ECF.

You might not know what you are Doing. But you must be doing something Right to go from 2 Packs per day down to 10 Cigarettes.

Right On!

Keep plugging away. Drink a Lot of Water. Get a little More Exercise than Normally. And consider getting a Backup (or Upgrade) to your current Setup.

Welcome to ECF and Congrats on the cutback. Keep it going. I didn't read what your Vaping on now but if not more than a thin stick type set up then yes something better will help greatly. An iStick simple 10 or 20 Watts should do you fine for quite sometime along with a Aspire Mini with 1.6 replacement heads around $50 simple and satisfying.

Welcome and glad you joined.
I believe the Eleaf IJust Start Plus is a low powered entry level sub ohm type device. Not the ideal starter unit for a newbie unless someone is holding your hand and showing you how to get the most out of it. Could consider Eleaf istick 40TC with a hybrid RDA or plain RDA. Much more room to expand upward or downward with.
