Hello!! I am a new member to this site but have been reading posts for a little over a month. I have a few questions.
I started vaping about a month ago. I still crave real cigarettes!!! I smoke real cigarettes as well as vaping. Although, I am down from a pack a day to 1/4 pack a day. Is this normal??? I've read some posts where people quit smoking real ones as soon as they started vaping. I smoke Marlboro ultra lights and I vape 18 mg nicotine. Is this a high enough level of nicotine?
Also, when I vape it makes me cough. Almost like the throat hit is too much. I vape prefilled cartomizers and diy carts. I have ordered prefilled carts from V4L and ejuice from another site. The ejuice really makes me cough. I can't remember the site that I ordered it from. My ecig is from V4L, manual. I have also tried the non-manual ecig as well.
Am I doing something wrong!!???

Thanks so much for any responses!!

Hi purplepleasure. Velcome to the ECF. A great forum.
Very supportive to all signing in - this post is also to be suportive :)
We're are different, so no need to be discouraged by the stories of immediate stops of analogs. Good for them, though! Every analog missed is a good analog.

In the advice to you, something "catches my eye". You have been smoking ultra-lights, and yet you are recommended to try up to 36mg... hm..... I've been using stronger analogs than you, 25 a day on average. If I drip 24mg, only few puffs are needed to sense a max. nicotine level coming up.
So - either you "delivery system" could need an overhaul to deliver the juice correctly, OR you may be using too strong juices already ?
One puffing session may be 2 drops. 1 ml is approx 20 drops. At 24mg you will get 2.4 mg nicotine. And what's in the ultra light (look at the package) - maybe 0.4 a cig ? ==> overload.

You can get VG in it's raw form in many places (Walmart, drugstores, PV suppliers). Go for USP marked. You apparently are not unfamiliar with filling carto's e.t.c, so you can make diluted samples and see how they suits you. VG is milder to vape than PG, and the lower Nicotine will also make it milder. And, any menthol strongness will be reduced. Should help get rid of the coughing.

VG is thick at 100%, so it should be thinned. For your situation, use de-ionised water or sterile water. Can be purchased at a drugstore or pharmacy. Buy a 5 ml syringe there, too (no needle necessary). Thin the VG to 85%, before using it to thin the vaping juice. Try 1 VG to 1 juice, or other ratios.

Hope that this is not (too) deterring, not meant to be, but you may call me a tinker.
I'm just wishing you the best, in the hope that you will get a good vape :vapor: (and DropEmCigs).

Good luck!
