it's going to depend on what version of the MVP you have...older one will need 510 to ego adapter....newer version...it will fit without adapter.

Rinse out with water or pure grain alcohol and then let dry... it isn't really one of those rocket science things... just clean it just in case there is any leftover stuff from the manufacturing or if they used something on the wicks etc.
