I did go cold turkey.
I did also get a few irrational cravings for cigarettes. Irrational because they were physical.... the light the first draw the ash etc. So at the suggestion of a friend who guided me in this process (like a pro, they should have PV mentors for newbies lol), I indulged those urges.
Good thing I did because all they did was illustrate to me how much real cigs sucked (no
throat hit, go figure, and tasted like poop) and
vaping blew analogs out of the water.
The last real cig I smoked I took two puffs. Nearly sucked the life out of it trying to achieve a throat hit of SOME variety, looked at it in a disgusted fashion, snuffed it and turned back to the PV.
Four months ago and never again. Cigs are boring.
But I think if I didn't indulge those cravings I would still have this irrational MEMORY of how great smoking was. I needed to experience the reality of the habit after getting clean to prove to my brain that it's foul and a waste of time.
Now all I remember is that last, boring, icky cig.
