My father brought this up to me today because he and my mother were concerned about what they were hearing. He approached it in a very mature open manner. I explained that the people getting sick were buying cartridges off the street of unknown origin or contents and that I didn't vape what they were vaping. I explained I only buy my liquid from reputable places and under no circumstances would I buy something off the street. I also gave a quick rundown on why vaping was getting such a bad name (follow the money).
He felt much better after we spoke and now neither of my parents mind that I vape. It's better than smoking. I'm lucky.

My dad just called, asked if I was going to quit vaping now. Told him I was just on my way to get a pack of smokes, figured he's 1000 miles away, might as well humor him and make him feel better

My parents are about 700 miles away but since they're both 88 I figured they could deal with my explanation and if they couldn't I could always stop answering the phone

Apart from the problem of getting juice in the future my problem now is that total strangers are starting to come up to me and just say ¨that .... will kill you¨ or something similar. It is really starting to annoy me.

I've had this happen to Me a couple of times. Here's my Favorite when it happen...

As the Person starts to do their Dialog, I like to give them a Few "Uh Hon's" followed by Concerned looks. I usually let them roll for a good 45 Seconds or so.

Then I look at my Watch and say...

"Hey that's Great. And I sure Appreciate your concern. But I'm running Late to an Appointment with my Probation Officer. My Anger Management Class ran a little long.

Why Don't you give me your Phone Number and we can Meet up to talk about it more. Maybe at your House?

It's so Funny to watch them go from a Holier than Thou self appointed Do Gooder to a Panicking Deer in the Headlights.

You can also do the "I'm late to have some Medical Tests done" with some coughing with covering your Mouth. Then try to get them to Shake your Hand.

But the Probation Officer/Anger Management Classes is my Favorite.
