Yeah, I know. But I'm Half Canadian and Half British, a horrible sense of humour is just in my genes.

Everyone is messed with in this life, does it really matter the reason?
If I was going to argue for a certain group I would say class trumps race, religion, or sexual orientation
(You could also argue that beauty trumps all others in the hierarchy of life, if you are morbidly obese with a face that makes Rocky Dennis look sexy; then you have real issues)

One of us goes out to work, gets the groceries, feeds the other, and is their punchbag/scratchpost/door opener/heated seat as required.

Self indulgent BS? If you actually read my posts you would have read that:
I was just voicing my support for those people. As I said before, these are the people who are constantly getting killed or attacked just for being who they are. If you turn on the news, no other groups of people are as frequently attacked/killed as these three.
You seem like someone with a lot of hatred built up inside you, I wouldn't be surprised at all if I learned that you've attacked someone just for being gay. I think a couple of sessions with a shrink could do you some good.

DCrist... I was going to PM you.. but I think it is important to post this publicly so people can understand where you are coming from... I think that your youth combined with the chip you have on your shoulder makes it hard for you to take things lightly. Not you alone.. but your generation... you are from a generation who takes everything literally.. and although our words speak volumes about us... you MUST learn to take things more light-heartedly if you are going to survive on these boards.
We are all sarcastic jokesters and it is VERY hard to tell by text alone what someone's intention is by what they type (thus we add smiley expressions to clarify things on occasion). You must realize that before jumping at someone for saying something that may have offended you.. you are best to go to their page and look up their previous posts. This can help you to determine if you just misuinderstood them or if they are a prejudice pigheaded pain in the .... Most of the people on here are REALLY nice people who would give the shirt off their back or the personal vaporizer out of their hand (if they had a backup) for people they have never even met. There are many examples of the extreme kindness that goes on here.
I think that language and wording leads to a lot of misunderstanding and a lot of the disagreements which take place on this board. I have seen threads where people argue about something and they are BOTH arguing the SAME side!!! So.. before you judge too harshly and jump at people... ask in a polite respectful manner what they meant by their comment and give them a chance to explain more thoroughly.. you may find very quickly that you are actually on the same side!
All this could have been said in 2 words... but if I had.. it may have started a fight or made DCrist think he was unwelcome here.. so I chose to make clear that his opinion is ALWAYS welcome and we are happy to have him aboard...

^I don't know anyone who is more laid back then myself, I think if I eased up anymore I would stop functioning as a person, lol. I think you may have mistook the tone of my posts, to quote you, "it is VERY hard to tell by text alone what someone's intention is by what they type." Perhaps I should make better use of the smiley expression system, I just normally use the quick reply feature which doesn't have the box with all the different smiley faces. I haven't been arguing or "jumping at" anyone (except K-Sound-Krew) - just clarifying and further explaining things, or expressing my views or my confusion. Maybe it's just the way I type, because a lot of times my girlfriend mistakes my tone over AIM conversations. You of all people who be the last person I would want to start any problems with though; you're a really nice person and you really helped me out.
There's on;y one person in this thread who I remotely have a problem with, because it's kind of hard to "ease-up" on someone who calls your thread "self-serving BS" and jumps at you without even fully reading your posts, not to mention making absurd claims without backing them up <--See, I'm starting to use these things now
