HexOhm V2.1 Questions

So I just got one (bday gift :)) and it's a beauty, but now I have A LOT of questions. Any help would be much appreciated and please forgive me if these questions sound stupid. I have been using an SXMiniS and was considering a mech, but now I have this. I want to love it, but I definitely need to understand more about it.
1) The batteries are wired in series. What exactly does this mean?
2) I have two new "married" pairs of VTC4s. Do the batteries in each pair need to be flipped after each charge?
3/4) What the heck does the potentiometer do? What am I changing when I dial it up or down?
5) I have put the resistance of my build into an Ohm's Law calculator what is the second variable that I should be using?
Okay well those ought to get my brain ball rolling! Thanks for any help.

1) Basically batteries are put in series to double the voltage. Google search will give you alot more information.
2) Flipping after each charge is a good practice
3/4) The potentiometer is used to change voltage from 3.7 volts up to 6 volts
5) The chip is rated for 20 amps so to be safe you would want to stay at 0.3 ohms or higher.

Thank you! I definitely won't be building lower than 0.3 ;-). So in a sense this is a bit of a juiced up mech where the regulation is really my ability to dial the voltage up or down within a ~2.5 volt range and pushing it will be both unsafe and destroy the board? Also if I'm dialing the potentiometer down to 20% with a 0.6ohm build I should have some fairly significant battery life no?

That is correct. The lower voltage the more battery life. It is one of my favorite mods. Only drawback in my opinion is that you can't turn it off.
I'm really liking it so far. I got a red one and she's very pretty for being such a beast. More power than I need, but the extra battery life will be a plus since I'm not really into super sub ohm builds or overly warm vapor. It's true you can't just toss it in a bag, but if you're using rdas you really wouldn't do that anyway. :)

I have a couple myself also used for dripping at home, great battery life since i keep the potentiometer at the lowest setting.

Just watch the condition of your batteries for nics or tears, it can be easy to snag them. Its the only downside i see to the mod and i can live with it just fine.

My blog has a post on easy rewrapping.

Enjoy the hex :)
