Hey newbie here

What's up guys, just joined this forum so I could have a group to discuss any general questions or comment I may have about my vaping. I have been vaping for a good year now, and finally quit smoking real cigarettes about 4 months ago, so now I mostly use my vaping for recreation rather then feeding an addiction. I did get a little into wanting to learn how to use my vaping for show, so started slowly building a custom set. I am using a k100 telescopic base using 2 batteries (a 2200 mAh, and a 900 mAh [both are 3.7V]) with an elego BCC Mega cartomizer. Now to start off with my questions. What does the "mAh" stand for, what's it's purpose, and which ohm's would be the best to use for both my batteries. I like to produce more smoke, so if that helps with finding then answers I want, the. There you go! Thanks in advanced for the help.

Congratulate a few others in the "newby" section to get your 5 posts in.
Then you will be free to take your questions to the "sub-ohms" forum threads.
There is tons of info on "how-to's" and the safest way to go about it.
In the meantime .. add more VG to your juice, for more vapor.

Your K100 can be used , as a mechanical is usually used to blow big clouds.
There are a lot of precautions to take using double batteries .. 1st one being DON'T
There are safer ways to do it.
You will find all your questions, explanations, and answers in those threads.
So get your required amount of posts in and head for where the pro's are with the same interests in mind.
Until your get your posts in, all you can do there is read, ..not ask or join in the conversation.
The "search" option kinda sucks, as it doesn't narrow down enough, but it's better than nothing, and a good place to start.

Congrat's on quitting, .. and enjoy your venture into bigger and better.

PS, Also, ..welcome to another Washingtonian .. there are lots of us here, and a few Washington threads too.
Maybe you can meet some new friends, close to "home".

mah = milliamp hours. It's how many hours a battery can continue to produce 1 milliamp per hour. so a 2200 mah batter can produce 1 milliamp for 2200 hours before going dead. It is the amount of fuel in the gas tank so to say.

For the second question the same ohm coil would produce the same vapor regardless what battery you used. They are both the same voltage, one just has more gas in the tank so it would last longer than the other.

Low resistance = more vapor. 1.5ohm is a pretty standard low resistance coil. Anything lower, and subohming is not for the new to vaping and shouldnt be attempted without a solid understanding of ohms law, basic electrical concepts, and the risks involved. :toast:

Mah is the milliamp hours capacity of your battery. This is basically the size of the battery's "gas tank".
Every battery (lithium type) has a continuos discharge rating (discharge current in amps). Choose a coil resistance that does not cause your device to exceed the discharge rating of your battery (you can calculate this using ohms law). Since you have two different batteries, use a coil build that will not exceed the battery with the lowest discharge current. Hope this helps

Hey thanks guys, this was really helpful, I will never double batter (cuz that's crazy) but I thought they might have had different output, but seeing what mah is, I feel a lot better knowing they both are the same, just with more fuel to use in a session. I will make sure to check out other newbies and give advice where I have the knowledge and understanding to. I have learned a lot as it is, I just need to fill in the blanks where I don't quite understand.

II'm guessing the 2200 mah one is an 18650 and the 900mah is an 18490\500, so the 18650 does have a higher amp output than the other. Also what batteries are they? Different manufacturers produce batteries with different ratings.
I'd suggest the Sony vtc4 if you plan on cloud chasing. They have a 30 amp limit. But always remember to do your research first and check your coils for ohms and shorts.
Good luck! Its really fun once you get into it

Hey thanks durtyZ. I'll give it a look, but I don't jump into anything until I have enough knowledge to know what to look forward to. I made the mistake of just jumping into something, and bought a pro tank 3... Was very disappointing. So I learned the hard way to research haha.
