HG eGo / Tornado Cartomizers Refill

My first post here

Just ordered Tornado Kit from TW and empty eGo cartomizers from HG. Can I refill these cartomizers using "Condom" method or do I really need injector and needle? The needles can be bought here in Finland only by drug addicts...

One way I'm trying now is to keep the plastic cap on the mouthpiece fill throught the battery end and put the plastic cap back on that - the let it sit for a while. I don't know if this is going to work yet.

For the needle method
Can you get anything like this. This works pretty good.

Zelda, do those fit into the "little" opening? I did the syringe yesterday and it was a huge mess!

Hey look it is kind of difficult . Yes they do fit. I takes a bit of practice. There's a good description of how to do it on the cartomizer thread -give me a few minutes to find it.

Pop open the mouthpiece -take off the middle cap and fill right in the middle hole. If you leave the middle cap off you can put the mouthpiece back on and then use the needle to fill through the mouthpiece. Thanks to KentC for this tip. The draw will be a little airier but it's much easier to fill this way.

I fill slowly or else it comes pouring out the battery. And I only use 1.5 ml not 2 ml.

Look I had a lake of ejuice on a table the first day I was filling but I'm getting better at it.

I have these, they are NOT worth the trouble IMHO. I just use an adapter 510>901 and use KR808 coolcarts from V4L. I take 2-3 in my pocket extra just in case.

I was already leaving the middle cap off because I like more air flow or I should say hubby does, But I never thought to put the top cap back on to fill, makes sense!

LOL, I am fine with my cool cartos too, it hubby that makes everything a PITA! lol
If he has to top off more the once a day he gripes! poor baby

Yes basically that's how to fill a regular cartomizer. The plastic bottom cap with these ego cartos are not designed so you can fill them with liquid and put the battery end in so I am using a bottle of ejuice and just dripping through the battery then putting the plastic cap back on tight. Make sure the plastic cap is on the mouthpiece or it will come pouring out that end. I'm not sure if this way will work but it might if it sits a while and the juice gets absorbed..

I tried that cap way and it doesn't seem to fill correctly. I think the best way is with the needle through the center hole.

These big ego cartomizers are a lot more difficult to fill than the regular ones but I think they have better vapor and a better throat hit than the other cartomizers imho.

Hi Zelda. What's the capacity of these cartos? I'm a dripper but just started to use cartos for on the go a couple of weeks ago. I use empty Boge's that take about 28 drops...less than a minute to fill using the condom method. Are these much larger?

I can fill one about 1.5 ml.

Almost everyone seems to be filling them with the needle just because the design is different than the other cartos. You need to break open the middle hole of the cartomizer with a needle when you do refill.

I'm trying something different now because it kept leaking eliquid out the battery end when I use the syringe(probably because I was putting the liquid in too fast) and I am pretty inept with the needle.

I pop open the mouthpiece, take off the middle cap covering the middle hole and throw it away. I lean the cartomizer in a plastic cup put the syringe (without the needle and the center piece of the syringe) right into the middle hole then put a bit over 1ml of liquid in the syringe and let it drip into the carto until its empty. I don't use the plunger at all. This takes a little while but it's not dripping out the battery end because the fill is absorbing it.You still might want to put the cap on the battery end just to make sure. I can fill a bunch of cartos by putting them in the cup and just moving and refilling the syringe. I pop the mouthpieces back on. You may be able to use more liquid than I do and have it fill up but I'm being cautious after all the flooding I did before. (I hope this makes sense).

So far it seems to be working.
