Hi everyone,

Really happy i found this site as i have no idea where to start.

I am a 40 a day roll up man and have tried all the normal means of giving up and failed...Champix, Patches..etc etc.
The closest i have come so far to giving up is by using Vapesticks, though these just didnt have the ummph i need and i ended up going back.

I am now looking at one of the newer vapour inhalers and am bewildered by the choice.
I need a very strong hit with a high nicotine content, what would you guys recomend?, Is this one any good..smok VMAX V4

My budget is about £75 and would like to purchase a whole kit with ease of use, Would be great if you could point me in the direction of a reputable online shop to purchase from also.

Many Thanks for any help,

Bob

Hi Little Bob and Welcome to ECF,
I agree with Moofaso. Liberty Flights are Great! I love them!
They have fast superfast shipping, they care about their customer, they have excellent products, especially juice.
If you do decide to use them check out their Facebook Page for a daily discount code, often 20% but sometimes goes up to 30%.:)

Hi, welcome! I wouldn't recommend starting off with a Vmax. This is a mod only with no atomizer included. In my opinion this is for the more advanced vaper. With the Vmax you need to set your voltage according to different resistances to vape at the correct wattage.

I would recommend starting with an ego style kit for a start. The Vmax is a great device, but will be intimidating at first which might just cause you to put it in the drawer and go back to analogs again. I would suggest you rather look at the Zmax when you feel you have gained enough knowledge and experience as this will give you variable wattage that will make it a lot less complicated.

Welcome to ECF. As your in the UK you might want to check out the supplier in the UK Forums.

There are supplier that do international shipping but in my opinion why pay the extra shipping if you don't need to.

Anyway, as far as mods go maybe an eGo Twist or Vision Spinner with a few different delivery systems to see which you like best. Everything is subjective to the user. So while we can make suggestions to help you, in the end you must decide for yourself.

It was a Volcano Inferno and then a Vision Spinner that finally lead me to getting of the analogs. Now I'm looking for bigger and better things.

Thanks for the help guys,

I contacted Liberty Flights twice and was told i would be phoned back each occassion but nobody ever did so after some speed reading and revision i purchased this setup:

1 x vamo (SS or Black Chrome?)
1 x Trustfire multicharger
2 x AW 18350 batteries
1 x UDCT kit
2 x UDCT replacement cartridges
1 x 24mg Virginia e-liquid (15ml)

All i can say is WOW i can safely say i will never return to normal roll ups.

Im still fiddling around with the voltages to find what suits me best but the only thing im not sure on is whether to run it in volt mode or watt mode, would anyone be able to tell me the difference between the two ?

Thanks again for the help guys.

You can probably use the volt mode if all of your cartridges are of the same resistance rating (ohms).

Wattage mode would only come into play if you had for example a low resistance carto and a high resistance clearo, and you wanted to use a predetermined wattage (ie 8 watts) for each one. Wattage mode would adjust the settings for both delivery devices to your preferred, predetermined watts automatically.

To paraphrase Baditude, VW will deliver a consistent vape with different resistances; i.e. if I had a 2.4 ohm clearomizer and a 1.7 ohm atomizer, each filled with the same liquid, I could vape both at 8.5 watts and get the same flavor from each, whereas if I vaped both at 4.2 volts, the 1.7 ohm atomizer would vape much hotter, possibly scorching the flavor of my juice. Glad to hear it's working out for you! I'd also like to suggest experimenting with different flavo(u)rs of juice... I've been amazed by what I like to vape compared to what I like to eat... O.O

Definitely try different juices, even ones you may not think you'll like. The vaping experience is different from cigs. I ordered a bunch of tobacco-ey flavors at first and they were all kinda like that bummed cigarette from a buddy that wasn't your brand -- meh. If you go wildly different, at least for me, it's much better. I'm kinda ready now to try the tobacco blends again though, my palate is ready now that I haven't had a real cig in so long.

vv and vw really get you to the same place, but by 2 different methods. I kinda prefer VV because I know the ohms on my stuff and I like varying the hit throughout the day a bit. Sometimes a little more, sometimes less. You can obviously do the same on VW, but the advantage of VW is kinda gone if you fiddle with it a lot.

2 weeks now and have not touched a cigarette....brilliant.

Learnt a few things along the way as in why i kept burning up atomizers, I have been running my 1.2ohm atomizers at 4.5 volts which is way too much so have backed it off and that sorted that problem...though i am going to change to a higher ohm atomizer as i like a real lung full of vape.

Can anybody recommend a good atomizer for a U-DCT tank? also there is a slight gap between where the tank screws onto my Vamo, when i vape i can hear air sucking in through it...is this normal or should i put a thin washer in there to seal it up?.

And lastly i have tried many different tobacco juices from various suppliers but find they are too sweet or too bitter, what im starting to do is mix the bitter and sweet 50/50, i find this gets me to what i like.

Thanks for the help again guys, you really do not know what it means to me to finally get off real cigarettes.

No don't put a washer on it, you need the air flow otherwise when you suck on it it would be like trying to suck through a plugged off straw. You should be able to use the smok dual coil cartomizers in that tank as well as the XL boge cartos (single coil). I'm sure someone will chime in that acually uses that tank.
