Hello,
I just got a Kangertech subox nano and it wont fire. I looked it the little book that comes with it and it says, "check atomizer whether short or open". I just don't understand what the short or open could mean and how I can fix it, preferably without too much hassle because I am a total beginner.
Thanks!
Welcome and glad you joined.
Could contact:
KangerTech US--Atlanta, GA--888-799-1988
Hours of Operation: Mo-Fr: 9:00am-5:30pm EST
Or
Could check with local distributors on the Kanger site.
Or
Might want to try the search function in upper right hand corner (google has a Youtube solution) of this post. Could type in "YouTube: Kangertech subbox not working".

Take the atomizer apart and make sure the coil is screwed in all the way, if it is already screwed in good maybe try another coil to see if that one works.
Based on a different post it doesn't sound like there was anything wrong with the coil? And if there was how would I take it apart and fix it? It looks mostly like one piece besides the cotton in there.

does resistance 9.99 ohm flash when you press the power button? If so, your kit should have come with a bunch of coils. Try a different one and see if the mod will detect it. It should ask you if if it is a new atomizer. Yes = + button.

If the mod will read the resistance of the new coil then you know the first coil was defective.

Also, when you find the coil piece which is screwed into the base of the tank, note that it has a metal contact piece on the bottom that should be touching a metal piece in the center of the base - that's the electrical contact point. If there is fluid down there, it can be causing the coil to short meaning it is no longer in electrical contact with the base.
