Welcome to ecf. I've heard some good things about the lavatube. It would be an inexpensive way to get into variable volts. I'm not sure about how to go about getting one in Malaysia though. Perhaps someone else can help you out.
The Lavatube is a nice VV mod for the price and perfectly good to start with. It's far better than any of the little E-cigs that look like cigarettes. You need to be aware of the 2.5 amp limit and don't expect to use a low resistance cartomizer at 4.5 or 5 volts. Use 3 ohm cartomizers and you'll be able to use the entire range of available voltages. I have one and I'm very satisfied with it. Don't expect it to do what it isn't designed to do and you'll probably like it too.
Sorry I can't help you with the price. In the U.S., you can find kits as low as $60USD, but I don't know what places ship to Malaysia or how much the shipping would cost if they did. The kit in your link converts to about $78USD, which is good considering the extras it comes with. The only other thing you might want to consider is if there is a warranty and how long the warranty is.

I love my Lavatube. I think Volcanoecigs.com, the distributor of the lavatube may ship into other countries as well, go to their website and ask. they are usually quick to respond to email inquiries.

If i'm not wrong, Malaysia can quite the choice of e-cig parts, but i have no idea where to get them. I'm actually interested where to buy batteries like LavaTube from Malaysia too. Let me know where you get yours! (if you got it from a shop)

hi mate.i found many china web got sell and it is prety cheap.around 35usd for complate set.i had just make a order from a shop at my hometown.price quite ok i guess .the problem is warrenty.2 week only.if u cant find any shop.i can help u buy and ship to u.
