Well I wish you the best of luck!! I am 2.5 months smoke free and I smoked 1.5 packs a day, untill I purchased my Provari. I have not touched a cig since! A lot of people say the provari is too expensive, but I looked at it this way : I spent $300-$450 a month on cigs and my provari v2 starter kit cost around $250. So after a month of not buying cigs it paid for its self and I saved money!! Now that I am a few months in the savings are really starting to add up

Welcome to ECF! I'm about a year off the death sticks. What kind of hardware are you looking at? How much $$ are you willing to put into it?
There are many ways to get started, this is what I usually recommend to my vape noobs:

And this, specify the 2 ohm and what kind of tip you want:

All you need is juice after this. juice is so subjective that I can only say get many flavors in small bottles till you find out what you like.

Plus there are so many new innovations that it's really easier than ever to replace smoking with vaping. Many people do eventually quit vaping as well. Not me obviously I enjoy it and I already feel much better after giving up the smoke.

It really is a great way to give up the cigs. I didn't think too much about it, just found myself smoking less and less until I didn't buy another pack.

When I first started 3+ years ago it was a lot of tinkering and determination.
I'm not saying things will go perfectly now but it's a whole lot simpler...as in I rarely have a problem.
And glad you decided to join us and wish you all the luck...breaking the grip of analogs is not as easy thing.

I'm working on kicking smokes myself.. day 3 so far.. A little caraving (I need to find a "Heavier" e liquid) I thinhk... and the thick draw of a smoke is also being craved.. but that'll all probably fade away once I vape some yummy soda w/ vanila.
I've been vaping for 6 months and my regular cigarette use has been dramatically reduced. Today, I only had one stick.
What really helped me to reduce my use of regular cigs is by choosing an e-juice that mimicked the taste and flavor of real cigs at first before switching to the flavored juices.

After 42 years of smoking and up to 3 pad, I had tried everything to quit. On a whim I ordered a Volt starter kit just over 4 weeks ago. I never thought I would quit...just hoping to cut down...maybe get to under a pack-a-day...no pressure. The 1st day I smoked 4 cigs...the 2nd 2...the 3rd 1...and I was done.
