I too would be really interested in find a U.S. supplier for this model, we know its from China so surely someone somewhere has bought a few to resale.
Great review, I am not much for most carto tanks (I rather keep my fluid in the cartomizer than floating around outside it), but this one seems very well designs and thought out, pretty nice price as well.
Great Review.

An intriguing fat batt presented with the classic Bonner class and clarity!

i did say that the battery uses a 510 thread so it can be used with regular 510 atomisers / cartomisers...due to the style of the new atomiser i can't add it to my Provari...
If the battery has 510 threading, then the atomizer does also. Right? If so, why can't that atomizer be used on 510-threaded mod like the ProVari (at least with a 510-to-510 extender)?

hi Don,

if you look at the vid at the time of 03:00 you can see the threads of the atomiser......it has an internal thread which is a regular 510 connection, then a gap and then another outer thread. the gap between the 2 threads is not wide enough to fit a standard 510 battery connection and the same applies for a 510 - 510 adapter.

basically, the thread on the ROK Star battery is a standard 510 thread, but the actual wall of the connection is a lot thinner than what is found on a regular 510 battery / 510 adapter

cheers

Ahh. Thanks, Scott!

Too bad ... if the tank/carto/battery package doesn't hit hard enough for some vapers. Reminds me of the Leo (for its first year). I loved the atomizer and then cartomizer, but they didn't hit hard enough for me on the 3.5V Leo battery. Now, fortunately, there are lower resistance Leo cartomizers available, as well as a 510-to-Leo adapter.

hi mate,

the battery does have a 510 connection, though the actual wall of the connection is thinner than that found on a ego battery......unfortunately i gave away the Ego Booster once i reviewed it so i can't test it out for you to see if it will work :(

at a guess, i would say that the ego booster will fit the battery (but it would NOT fit the ROK Star atomiser)

cheers

It's basically the same as this:

Riva Tank E-cigarette Kits

Just need to find a retailer who's selling the riva tank-E

EDIT: It's not the same at all.
Looks similar, but it's closer to a clearomizer with a protective cap...

New RIVA TANK E-Cigarettes (2 pcs) Philippines - 3933415

Huh ... one of our vendors here in Canada has that very kit for sale as the F1 eGo-W. Which is basically like a regular eGo-W but with the Bud Sapphire swapped out for some eGo-tailored Ce2 clearo.

Hi! This Rok Star e-cig is, in fact, the ALD Ego 808 - check it here.
Pen-style EGO -P - Products - ALD GROUP LIMITED
In Greece, an importer has brought it since late August - also with a different name.

Quite a lot members of the Greek forum (e-kapnisma.gr) have bought it or tested it, and I can say a few things about it after three months.
- lots of taste! equal or better than a carto.
- lots of vape
- good throat hit
- no leaks. no leaks at all.
- it is economical on the liquid
- very easy to fill, no syringe/special bottle needed
- very good draw, and you can adjust it
- the battery lasts veryyyy long with this atomizer (I don't know why! about 3X or 4X compared to similar resistance atomizers) and it charges quickly.

Atty resistance: about 2.6-2.9Ω (different people measurements).

minus:
- the tank is not strong enough. You have to take care when screwing/unscrewing to fill or change battery, not to press it too much. Because, it will develop cracks and have leaks and separate from the mouth piece. Till now, I destroyed a tank per month. Now I pay more attention.
- the atomizer is expensive and doesn't last long - one or two weeks for me, thought 3 days has been mentioned in the forum (and also 3 months!).
*BUT*
it can very easily be repairable! see here the video of one of our members repairing it:
ice e-cigar - YouTube
(in greek , sorry, but words are unimportant here. watch it to find out how to repair the 808 atty)

At 80€, in Greece it is more expensive than the Rok Star and it is currently unavailable - so, as far as I know, it is the only supplier in Europe.

All in all, most of these who used it are very happy with it. (The rest are those infuriated with lack of quality...)
I'm one of them! I really think it is 'top' e-cig today. (OK, IMHO).

The battery has internal 510 threading so it can use any 510 atty or adaptor.

The 808 atty uses the external battery threading, which as far as I know is unique.

But it can 'just' fit on an 510 to 801 adapter, just one turn - but enough to attach firmly and make contact with the battery. So, it can be used by any 510 battery.
(I also tested it with the Sparki, which has 801 threading. The atty works, but - because it 'breaths' from the inside, it can't draw air on the Sparki which has not any slot or hole.)

(next to a typical 650mAh eGo battery, for comparison)
