Great to have found such a lively forum - I think I'm going to like this place!

I finally took the plunge last week, and ordered a micro-pipe (spares seem easier and cheaper than the regular e-pipe,) from theelectroniccigarette.co.uk. I confess I was sceptical - I'd seen a bit about e-cigs in the media, and been curious, but when I saw there were pipes too, I had to have one. And I have to say my experience is overwhelmingly positive so far.
Got some spare carts and some juices (janty Marlboro and Oriental high strength, and TW French Pipe 38mg,) and they're all nice (I'm probably overdosing a bit on them :)).

I hadn't planned on totally replacing my analogue pipe before I got this one (it just looked worth trying to maybe reduce my carcinogen portfolio a bit,) but I could really see that happening now. It's cleaner, cheaper, almost certainly healthier, and affords excellent scope for 'mad science' bodging and brewing (I've already started experimenting with flavourings, and am enjoying a cartful of parma violet+Marlboro as I type :D)

Anyway, like I say - hi everyone! And I'll try not to ask too many dumb questions (though I have quite a few questions, that's for sure!)

Don't forget you can use classic(penstyle) atomisers on it, they won't be disappearing any time soon I hope

Yep, that's why I didn't go for its big brother - the atomisers are 4x the price, and I keep finding complaints about the reliability all across the forums. We may not have a lot of choice when it comes to pipes, but this one's so good who needs alternatives? (I know, I know - I'll end up carving an e.meerschaum carved in the shape of a nicotine molecule before the year is out I expect :))

As one e-pipeman to another - welcome! You'll be glad when you're no longer tipping ash out of jacket pockets and getting "zippo thumb". It really is a satisfying vape, imho.

It is astoundingly satisfying - they're quite right when they say it's the "Next Big Thing"! I'm recommending it to everyone I meet :)

Welcome aboard Nick! And here's some links about the pipe if you're interested:

Thanks! That's fantastic! Still working my way through all that, but I've just ordered a pile of atomizers and batteries from eastmall.net - my flavour experiments may well be degrading my current sole atomizer, since I vaped off a whole 6-drop cart of violet vodka essence (with a splash of Janty Marlboro) in about 10 minutes, reducing the cart lint to something resembling carbonised candyfloss (probably a good thing the battery ran out when it did really :))

Truly delicious, but murder getting the taste out again when I wanted a plain tobacco-flavoured hit (3 hours of alternate boiling in water and swilling in reagent alcohol finally did the job!)
For those who like experimenting with flavours, I can recommend swedishconnections dot co dot uk) as a source of some interesting essences (no, I have no vested interest - just a very satisfied customer over the years.) I'll try the cherimoya or the banana marshmallow candy shot next, but I think I'll wait for the new atomizers to arrive first!
I'd love to try the Gert Strand absinthe essence (absintheliquor dot com), but I don't believe the smell would ever dissipate - there are depths of decadence that it is not safe for mere mortals to plumb, and I think vaping hyper-concentrated absinthe may well be one of them.
