Hi iv been vaping for 18months and iv turned to DIY can anyone tell me if im doing something wrong all of the menthols iv tried and enjoyed have had a brown/orange colouring to them (dekang triple menthol) mine all seem to be clear and im not getting the same satisfaction from them im using home made menthol drops and 50/50 pg vg should i be adding something else?

Welcome to the forum, Lyndsey! I suggest you get your 5 "new member" posts in and then hop over to the e-liquid forum and post your query there.

I'm not familiar with dekang liquids, but my personal experience in 8 months of vaping menthol and 6 months of DIY'ing is that e-liquid color has little to do with flavor. More likely it's the quality and/or quantity of menthol additive that's making the difference.

Also, how are you mixing your menthol additive? Starting with menthol crystals? If so what are you mixing them with?

Since taste is so subjective, and there are so many variables, it's almost impossible to advise you on matters of flavor. My best advice is to experiment, then experiment some more. Read, research, and experiment yet again.

To be honest, I've no experience with menthol, so can't offer a suggestion.

But are you letting your juice steep for long enough. When I DIY, my liquid always changes colour over a few weeks and the flavour also improves. I leave my DIY's for at least 3 weeks before vaping
