This is my first post. I am a beginner I guess, as I have only vaped Ego 1 and the Eleaf Ijust2 until recently when I purchased an Eleaf Istick Pico 75W.
This has so many options and I CANNOT optimize this mod to get the best vaping experience!
I have read so many great reviews and heard good things, but I cannot vape above 30 watts without getting a burn taste.
Any pro's out there know how to best optimize this mod? My goal is to vape at around 50-60 watts and get good flavor and a nice cloud, that is all. Thank you and I am excited to be on this forum.
....I believe others have touched on what I would ask. I'll do a quick run down on the general "gist" of ecigs.
higher wattage is for lower ohm coils. lower ohm coils are warmer, cool down slower, produce more clouds, need bigger airflow and use more juice.
lower wattage is for higher ohm coils, vape cooler, less clouds, cool down quicker, produce less clouds, and need less airflow and use less juice.
Flavor... depends on juice. Some vape better at higher heat, others vape better at lower.. this is all a personal choice.
Dry hits... Simply, it has to do with your atomizer coils. Since higher ohm coils use less juice, they don't wick as fast to prevent flooding. If you run a coil at a higher wattage than what it was designed for, then you will get dry hits. Some coils can take a very high wattage like the Smok TFV4 tri coils... you can run those at 60W all day and not get a dry hit. Other coils, like the Kanger Subtank are designed for around 25 watts.
That is why most of us get into rebuildables... it allows us to setup our own coils, dictate our own juice flow within the capabilities of the atomizer. We don't rely on prebuilt coils. My sweet spot is two .8-1 ohm coils (.4 to .5 ohms) I build it with enough cotton to keep up with that demand. I do not know of any prebuilt coils that offer that range.
My suggestion would be to go out to a brick and mortar store and see if they have different atomizers for you to try. For smokers, I recommend a higher ohm coil at lower wattage and higher nicotine strength... that offers good flavor, decent throat hit, less coughing, and less clouds... later, finding a tank/setup is all based on personal wants. If you want heavy clouds, most pre-built coils don't offer the flavor that building your own provides. try to find one you like. A smok TFV4 produces heavy clouds, but personally I like the taste of a mid-subohm coil I built myself.
