Hi All, Finally get to post in UK forum, I found this site through a search and decided to join, I'm from Manchester in the United Kingdom, To be honest I have no idea why i started vaping, Giving up smoking (again) wasnt on my to do list, However a vaping store opened up very close to where i live and I had to pass it most days, I decided to go in and see what all the fuss was about and after quizzing the proprietor for half an hour I left my remaining analogues in the store and walked out with a starter kit and even decided from the start that i wanted to DIY my own liquids. All that was 6 weeks ago and here I am, still analogue free and enjoying every moment of 'vaping', The discovery of new tastes and readingf about other vapers exploits etc.

I have recently managed to secure a pre-order of a GGTS SS Through Golden Greek, and am currently on a quest to aquire a Penelope before it arrives some time in october, I look forward to sharing my views on here along with reading about all the enjoyable stuff you guys have.

Anyway that's me, see you around!!:p

Hello & welcome Barry :)

Wow, you have moved on a lot in just 6 weeks :) I have an early version GGTS & still love it :)

I'm guessing I watch much too much youtube, but then youtube does have a way of making you watch more!!. Always have grabbed the bull by the horns with new interests, like to have the best possible results for my budget :) In 6 weeks I've tried Starter kits, clearomizers, moved onto Carto's single and dual coil, after all the research I want to end up with the ggts, atomizers taste so much better imho, no wadding to mute flavors right?, Do you guys know if after 20 posts on the UK forum wether we can get into the classified section here?, I've read that an occasional penelope goes up on there?. Thanks in advance!.

I was going to leave the wick that i had and try to nurse the shorts but decided what the hell and have just learnt how to make a U-wick, it took quite a few wrapping sessions but found that if it has shorts then you can just undo the screws and pull the wick out and re-bunsen burner it then try again..... so now I am using 0.15 Kanthal on a really good looking U. seems ok at the moment.

That seems really well done, and if it works go with it, but can I ask, most vids I've watched recommend three winds for a U-Wick but you seem to have 5 there, or am i missing something, perhaps to do with Ohms and 0.15 wire as opposed to say 0.2 wire

Also can I ask what mesh youre using and perhaps a supplier?

To be honest Barry I'm not sure what mesh it is, as it came with the hellfire. And I've been trying all sorts with the wire, this was coming out at 2.something ohms , I think it's... The longer & thinner the wire the greater the ohm resistance. With regards to buying mesh, I think there is a website called the mesh company or something. Wire I got from ( off the top of my head ) wires.co.uk or something like that. Sorry to be so vague but I don't have the computer switched on at the moment.
