Hi,

I bought one of these basic kits a week or so ago and have been very happy with it - using it with some sample 5ml eliquids.

Intro-Vision Kit [VE421] - £17.99 : Vape Escape

I'm a little confused about how often I should (or will need to) replace parts. I've seen some advice that heads/wicks should be replaced in the clearomiser every couple of weeks. If this is the case, has anyone got any recommendations about where I can get these? vape Escape's website doesn't seen to have them for this brand of CE5 - or are they all the same?

Also - how often should I replace the clearomiser and battery? And do people recommend cleaning out the clearomiser often/between different flavours?

Thanks,
Eliot

Hello and Welcome to ECF !!!

Congrats on making the switch. I am not familiar with the equipment You have, or with UK vendors so I'm not much help there either. As far as when to change out/clean heads, do it when You are no longer happy with the performance the length of time in which this will happen has many variables, the type of juice, the amount You actually vape and the settings on Your device, but like I said once You notice a drop off in performance to the point where You are not happy with it is time to do something.

there is a UK sub forum here >>> UK Forum

You will need 5 posts here in the new members forum (and wait till 25 minutes after the hour when the servers update) before You can post there but should be able to at least start browsing there

I don't think that one has replaceable wicks.
I'd rinse it out between flavors. No need to let it dry, it'll just take several puffs before you start getting vapor
It needs to be replaced when it starts tasting "burnt" and may even irritate your throat a little. It's caused by buildup on the coil. I recommend getting one with replaceable heads like the CE5 or Vision vivi nova. These disassemble and you can extend the coil/wick life by "dry burning" to burn off the buildup. It might work on that one by rinsing, let dry, then fire the coil until it quits smoking, then rinse again.
Get new batteries when the charge doesn't last long enough

The batteries should be good for 250- 300 recharges.
This what you have- also known as a CE4/ Stardust:
Vision Ego V2 Rainbow [VE362] - £4.50 : Vape Escape
"The V2 are a disposable clearomiser and will need replacing at intervals (2-3 weeks is a general idea"

This same clearo (CE5) except it's the rebuildable version:
Vision Ego V3 Rebuildable [VE388] - £4.95 : Vape Escape
Spare heads:
Vision Ego V3 Spare Heads [VE390] - £2.50 : Vape Escape

Although disposable they can be cleaned and dry burned. I do not touch the head (coil+ wick) with a Q-Tip as it may dislodge the coil. Rinse after dry burning.

Realize if buying the rebuildable CE5 and spare heads there are diff ohms heads- 1.8, 2.4 and 2.8 ohms. 2.8 ohms too high for your battery. 1.8 gives a warm vape and 2.4 gives a cool vape.
If buying from Vape Escape...

Thanks very much for the advice. I'll pick up the V3 and some spare heads.

You're welcome. If you're completely happy with the CE4 then yes get the rebuildable CE5/ V3. I used the CE4 but found they lacked in quality and moved up to the
Vision Mini Nova Kit [VE404] - £8.95 : Vape Escape
Spare Heads
Vivi & Mini Nova Spare Heads [VE411] - £2.50 : Vape Escape
and use a Type B Tank Plinths [VE324] - £2.99 : Vape Escape to cover/ hide the threads between the battery and clearomizer.
Best of Luck.
