Hi Thomas,
Enjoyed reading of your vaping journey. I only started last month and was recently on a course in Wellington for a week in the CBD. Only saw one guy vaping who was waiting for a taxi near the hotel where we were. I spent time in the 'designated smoking area' outside a few times to vape. Felt a bit odd there but no-one really took any notice. Other times I smoked real rollies. I am working on dualing and slowly cutting back on tobbaco and evetually stop the tobbaco altogether. I am enjoying the change and being positive about the future. Best of luck with your journey.

Hi Rob,
thanks for your comment. I noticed right at the beginning, that vaping doesn't work same way for every-one.
It worked wonder for me, but many still hang on analogs.
But even if it leads to some reducing of smoking analogs, is still a success.
I myself didn't expect such a dramatic effect..., probably sheer luck.
Anyway, I wish you all the best for the future.
It's odd though, that in a country like NZ, with astronomical prices for smokes, vapping comes so slow into a common use.

Hi brothers & sisters in vapping :)
Yesterday it passed second month of my quitting analogs. I went again for my little celebration to Auckland airport, first to domestic, than to international.
People hanging around smoking areas as usual. I've seen one guy vapping a T18 like maine. Exchanged few words, congrats, felt grat, and again astonished by the microscopic number of vappers in an astronomical cigs price country.
After few more minutes, I experienced a dejavu: a women picking cigarets butts out from the ashtrys... It was the first person I've seen doing that, besides myself just two months ago on a regular basis. I took my butts, dirty box with those two unpacked PallMall 20 long packs, tuged along the cigs mouth piece holder, and a lighter..., I thought to keep them as souvenires for rememberance of my creepy years, and I decided to give it to that woman away. I just then realized, that I don't need those remainders anymore. She thought, it was her super-lucky day..., poor thing. I'm free from smoking, and I also realized, that smoke smell, sight, etc. not only doesn't scare me, I find it offensive, and annoying. Annoying not like "I crave for it", but annoying like a scent of urine in an unflushed toilet. Great, I finally got there where I only dreamed of being.

Hello again :)
Three months now since last cigarrete on 20 September.
Feeling really free now, smokes don't mean now a bit to me. Being busy for Xmas, vapping is a blessing, I can concentrate on meaningful things instead of worrying where to get next smoke from.
Alleluya, all the best to you all in the New Year 2017.
By the way, I'm glad D. Trump won the elections.
Better having a rich buisnesman as a president, than a gridy clown like HC.

Congratulations on your succesful vaping journey!

Myself, I started vaping around 4 years ago when my (then-new) girlfriend bought me a cigalike which she had a Groupon voucher for, at around £20 - that kind of worked for me, and I cut down to about 2-3 smokes a day (from around 15-20 medium-thick roll-ups with filters per day).

Around 2 weeks later, happy that I was getting along with my cigalike, she bought me the 'Advanced Kit' from the same company for another £20, which turned out to be a fixed-voltage eGo battery and a CE4 tank - from getting that kit onwards, I stopped smoking completely and vaped exclusively.

The funny thing was - I wasn't even really trying to quit - it just annoyed my GF that I made her wait all the time before getting in the car when I 'had' to have my little smoke, and that I stunk of ashtrays.

I went through a range of devices & tanks, from VV eGos, EVODs, Protanks, Aerotanks etc., and eventually ended up where I am now, using my favourite mod - an SXK Zero Mini 60W and the tanks which I ended up using as my all day vapes - I found out that I'm a flavour-chaser, MTL-type vaper, and I like Kayfun-type tanks, my favourite of which is the Taifun GT2.

I seemed to have fell in the middle as well. The Taifun GTII is my favorite single coil tank, but I seem to like the dual coil Goblin series. .7 ohms (two 1.4 ohm coils), high VG blend (I DIY my juice), running around 30 watts. I have about 4 GTII clones from Fasttech, but I have seemed to be using the Goblins exclusively now. I have a few Griffin clones that are a good backup, but because of the size, the Goblins are my all day vape.

Your story reminds me exactly of what I went through. I never set out to quit.. it just... happened.

When I smoked, I made a rule not to smoke inside, or in any car but my own (remember sticky computer?). When we bought a new car, I vowed not to smoke in ANY car. I would wait outside the car while my wife waited for me. I would smoke out on the back deck... looking at the spiders spin a web on the back porch. When I was out and about, I had a portable ash tray that kept the smell away pretty good. I bought a cigalike at a gas store for $20US just to see what it would be like... figured I could vape indoors, smoke outdoors. Luckily, I kind of liked the flavor even though it was totally different. It never did get me to quit, but it helped. After buying refill cartrige after refill cartrige, I wondered if there was a cheaper way to do it. I ended up refilling many of those cartriges with some Jhonson Creek french vanilla, and that would extend the life of the cartriges about 3x..but was still throwing many away. So, when I found out there was a way to just refill via the atomizer (stardust/CE3), I bought an $80 ego kit (two 900MaH EGO batteries, 10 CE3's, and 5 juice bottles... something similar to this)... That's when I really started to quit. learned to rebuild the CE3's, and things got much cheaper.. Went from CE3's to CE5's, then to an AGA-T2(genesis style)/Vamo V3... that got me to fully quit. from there, many mods, many atomizers.. right now, my current setup is an Eleaf Aster 75wTC with a goblin mini on top. IF I could improve on anything, it'd be putting a standard drip tip on the goblin mini. The adapter is too loose, and the newer versions of the goblin leak when you refill it. So, I still prefer bottom fill goblin mini with the glass drip tip.

Anyways, just thought I'd share my experience.
