Signed up a little while back, and am ready to start posting as I have at least moved beyond the "what does the thingymabob thats screwed into the dohicky do?" stage. And feel at least I can ask non-idiotic questions. Look forward to getting know more about the vaping world and it's citizens.

Hey, mudram! Come on in and welcome. I do believe "thingymabob" and "dohicky" are perfectly good descriptive nouns that covers quite a few appliances in vape gear......They're my "fall back" names that I figure the pros can puzzle out.

Welcome mudram! Dohickey is a perfectly acceptable technological term (I use it frequently in my work )

Glad to have you. It's o.k. to be "scared" of subohming. Do read up on battery safety and Ohms/Watts Laws if you haven't already. Go easy, get a comfort level, and then the sky's the limit
