I'm here for the latest info on ecigs gear. In 2012, posts by Don led me to this site. That was the start. I ended up with Provari and io6s and 18 mg butterscotch. My qs here back in 2012 were about ejuice darkening in tanks. Somebody with more experience aswered me. Now, I really need major updates, as i06s are not in production. Folks at work are using totally new for me dripping atties. So, I'm back here for more news and advice.

You don't need to go to dripping atomizers. They're definitely a bit more advanced, and have a pretty extreme learning curve. Sometimes I have to tweak my RDA before it tastes good again (or sometimes, if a screw comes loose or something, it'll stop performing altogether!)

If you're looking for a basic setup that you can easily toss juice into and easily replace the heads (very very user friendly) I recommend looking into the Aspire Nautilus or the Nautilus Mini.

Although you weren't very specific about what you were looking for, maybe you could be a little more specific about what you want? If you're looking to get into rebuildable dripping atomizers, I'd definitely be willing to give you some info about that, where to get started, etc., but it sounds like you're more comfortable with the tank setup, as you have been using it for a while.

Basic easy setup is a must for me. I was not sure which one to get, there are so many of them now. I had one basic Innokin that came with my ITaste box 2 weeks ago. I really loved it for 3 days, until it stopped working. I also have 2 RDAs, all originals - to eliminate the manufacturing errors :). Have one Kayfun light, and testing it with a kind-of-loose-microcoil. Well, not so good. Some people say it is better not to burn and press the wire. I liked tanks but after running out of all my cartos and punched cartos and a few 510s and 810s used i06 only until now. Getting me some Aspires. Thank you for advice nyiddle

I generally leave all my coils uncompressed, or only very loosely compressed; there are still tiny spaces in the coil. to me it just seems like a better vape, whether it's a kayfun or RSBT or dripper, but I guess it's really just personal preference -- I don't like a really hot vape, and the looser coils give me the kind of warm vape I like, and just generally *breathe* better.

Welcome back! I've only been around here since late Jan and stuff changes so fast it's just flat-out amazing. Kinda like computers in the '90s. :D

I'm new to vaping too but I wouldn't have it any other way then dripping. Cloud chasing is fun and these things rip. Has helped me beat the urge of smoking with the volume of vape that I am able to exhale. It's all mental but it has become a ton of fun too.

wow First time talking to someone who likes tons of vapor:ohmy: For me, it is the taste plus the nicotine, but a little cloud making would not hurt either:vapor:

What is your set up for Kayfun? My loose coil is ugly, and the taste of all thing is sour with my favorite custard lol... The changes are even more amazing for me. I love it :)

I use 29ga kanthal; 7 wraps around a 7/64 bit, gives me about 1.8 ohm; I put my kayfuns on one or another of my variable wattage mods, and generally stay between 7.5-9.5 watts, depending on how much throat hit I'm looking for at a given moment.

One thing I learned about a kayfun, is that you get a really true taste of whatever's in it; there are some juices I just love, but not in a kayfun; when I can taste some juices that clearly, it's not always a good thing. ;) I mainly fell in love with the kayfuns for the GREAT throat hit and flavor, and how little trouble they are compared to the small Kanger tanks, none of that oh it's gurgling, oh it's leaking nonsense. The only times mine ever gurgles or leaks is if I get carried away with priming a fresh wick, and have to blow the excess out of the chamber. Still, I'd rather have to blow out excess than taste a dry hit for even one second. :D

Somewhere out there
I'm not up on all the details, but Provari is going to come out with a version 3 in the near future.

The Kayfun is my favorite tank, love it! I bet if you post in the rebuildables sub-forum you'd get a lot of help from the experts on coil building and wicking for it. (Not that you won't get good advice in this thread too.)

I run my Kayfun with a simple 1.8mm tight spaced coil, cotton or rayon wick around 1.5 ohms. I don't do custards, so no ideas on why they'd seem sour.

I heard about new Provari. Mine is the first addition that does not go below 3.3. Dropped many times, broken atties and glass drip tips, but not the mod. I hope when they release the new model, the old one will go on sale :) I read lots of posts around here, jumping from one subject to another. This thread is really helpful for me. For my Kayfun, it must be my new coil. Did you use 28g?
