I know this may sound corny and somewhat like a quote, but I only say what I believe to be true!!!..... You are BEAUTIFUL inside and out!!! Be happy being who you are, others will see that and when they do, they will want to be apart of your happiness. That's the truth. It never fails, just when I'm truly happy being single, bam, there goes my single life. LOL I listen to my daughter/husband argue and I can't help but laugh. They give me that glare, which makes me laugh harder, then I tell them, "It's times like this, I'm so happy I'm single". LOL .. Reach for the Stars Girl!!! ;) You gained a friend in me, so if at anytime you need to talk, feel free to message me. I have big ears and a big heart! :D

You are awesome and I will almost definitely take you up on that, I'm always needing someone to bounce things off of when I don't know what to do. :)

Welcome to the forums Sarah! Congrats on being a quitter!!
And kudos for jumping right in here with a girly thread. LOL!!

Since vaping I have a lot of "metal mouth" days. I read articles that it's a hormone level issue, and I've noticed it very sporadically in the past. (mostly while pregnant) But now it's regular.
Might be something to add to the list of "body weirdness after vaping". :)

i think we have all been victims of the dreaded "cankles". why is it fluid goes to your ankles anyway? i wish it would go to my boobs. they could use more help than my ankles.

Statement: I suspect if vaping could do that, we wouldn't need to be fighting for support. Men and women both would likely agree with and encourage vaping. :)

Suggestion: Do you have circulation issues as well? (Diabetes, notably.) Reducing salt intake would be a good first step, as would be light exercise. Periodically you should also do the 'airline exercises' to help with that, potentially. They primarily consist of rolling your ankles and arching your feet up and down, you can see some demo vids of it on Youtube, very simple to do. Most of us that sit at computers for long periods, or in chairs at home, develop poorer circulation in our feet because we don't do enough walking around/exercising them, this causes not only water to remain in the lower portions of the body (feet and ankles) but over time results in said circulation problems. Give it a shot and I'd like to see if you notice any improvement.

If you tend to sit in chairs/couches at home while you're lounging about...if you have La-Z-boy recliners or couches with that option, elevating your feet while you're sitting around watching tv or movies or whatever would likely help. Perhaps also if you tend to sleep on your back, having a small pillow under your feet to slightly elevate your feet at night.

As per the salt, it's hard to avoid it without sourcing a lot of of things yourself. Pre-packaged foods often contain very high levels of sodium as well as sugars, so the recommendation is to buy more 'base' ingredients and do your own cooking if you feel the need to dramatically reduce your sodium intake. Start reading labels, you'd be surprised just how much DV (daily value) of sodium you're getting in even one serving of a lot of prepackaged soups and meal ingredients.

Wow, am I ever glad to read this post! I've been wondering about some of this stuff.

I couldn't say if vaping has affected Shark Week yet, since I'm only about five weeks in. However, I've noticed problems with irregularity, which I'm hoping that drinking plenty of water will flush out.

I had a bit of insomnia for the first week or two, but for the past couple of weeks, when I hit the pillow, that's it - I sleep like a brick. I was a pretty good sleeper before, but stuff like restless legs and leg cramps would interfere somewhat regularly, maybe a time or two every week. The restless legs have completely gone, and I no longer take the herbal pills for them. I also don't get leg cramps like I used to - only one bout of them in the past few weeks, which is an improvement. And I bounce out of bed at 6:30, sometimes earlier, feeling rested. I miss sleeping in on the weekends, but I'm okay with waking up at my usual time, as long as I've had a good night's sleep.

I had to cut back on my coffee intake - I used to have an extra cup after getting the kids off to school, and had to knock that off, because it was making my heart race. I thought that was weird, because I've always had that extra cup, and it's never bothered me. Now I have one in the morning and one around 2:00, and that's it - water for the rest of the day.

Since I'm still so new at this, I'm taking a wait-and-see attitude about changes that I'm going through. Some people say it takes a full year for their bodies to get back in line, especially after decades of smoking. I smoked for 30+ years before I took up vaping, so I guess I'll just be patient and see how things go with my body. I just hope the digestion issues settle down before too long - I dread going to the bathroom these days.

Too much? Sorry!
