Eh I have PCOS so I haven't had my period in like 2 years![]()
I hope you have seen an endocrinologist? Intervention and management of the underlying causes is important.

For you ladies, I'm glad to see you're keeping a mostly positive outlook on some things. Attitude affects your body in more ways than you realize, the state of your mood changes the biochemical mix released into your body (dopamine, serotonin, etc) which has a wide range of effects on a lot of aspects of your health.
As I said in another thread, this forum has been literally a breath of fresh air....coming to a place where I see differences of opinion respected. People talk with a reasonable amount of manners, there's support and encouragement. It's fantastic.
So fantastic it's almost shorting out my prejudice circuitry, so I had better set Prejudice to Maximum.
yea they've been doing blood tests for months >.>

I feel the love. Soon, you will too.
Definition: 'Love' is making a shot to the knees of a target 120 kilometres away using an Aratech sniper rifle with a tri-light scope. Statement: This definition, I am told, is subject to interpretation. Obviously, 'love' is a matter of odds. Not many meatbags could make such a shot, and strangely enough, not many meatbags would derive love from it. Yet for me, love is knowing your target, putting them in your targeting reticle, and together, achieving a singular purpose... against statistically long odds...
When I quit smoking, my thyroid stopped working.
Well, I don't know if that's anatomically accurate, but I now have an underactive thyroid. Somewhere in the hormone production/conversion/binding, my thyroid stopped working properly. I now have to take thyroid hormone supplements. We're still working out proper dosages, so I'm a mess, but smoking (somehow) plays a very active role in hormone regulation/production/alteration.
So it makes sense that quitting messed with you in this way. I don't know HOW.. But in my mind, it makes complete sense.
There's a very technical article about smoking and hormones. I'd love it if some biologically-inclined individual could break this down simply for us!

i couldn't be more pleased about how this thread is going! thank you all for the encouragement and support not only to me but everybody. what? a forum not filled with douche bags? awesome!![]()
Of course I don't want the FDA to outlaw this method of stopping smoking...but they do have a some what valid point...there really just hasn't been enough research done on this to determine what (if any) side effects this way of quitting smoking will do to people. I personally can't see how doing this would hurt any body that bad, considering no more than what goes into this...but ya just never know.
