Hi there Kelli and welcome to ECF :D

I wish I could give you some advice on the Eversmokes, but I am not familar with those.

I do know there is a wealth of information to be found in these forums. There are a couple of threads that suggest gr eat starting setups.
If there are any local vape shops near you, I would suggest going in and seeing what is available. And by shops, I don't mean those kiosks in the mall, hehe. Most of those are just out to get your money. I started with the disposable e-cigs from the local convience store. They kinda worked, but not really for me. I then visited a local vape shop and looked at their starter kits. The salesperson there explained how everything worked, from charging the battery to filling the clearomizer with e-fluid (clearomizer is the thing that holds your e-juice, like the cartriages you used for your Eversmokes, but refilable).
With the help of the fine members of this forum, and maybe a good local vape shop, I am sure you will be well on your way to a most enjoyable vaping experience.

Welcome again to ECF,
Look forward to hearing more from you. :D

Hi Kelli, Welcome to the party, I am new to this too, I just got a riva 1100 deluxe kit and I think that kind of kit is the perfect starting point, not too basic and not too advanced.
I found filling no problem at all, filled 2 cartomizers and clearomizers.
Good luck and welcome, everyone on these forums is really helpful, it's a great place.

thanks and hi to everyone! you guys are so helpful and nice.....i am really impressed! i think i am leaning toward buying one of the e-go systems and getting and refilling the atomizers (or clearomizers whatever the diff is). now i just have to choose which one. hmmmm. ♥♥♥

HI Kelli
Let's get you set up with a good beginners rig. Take a leap of faith and order the items below.

The following is a get out of jail card free. This is not the final rig that you'll end up with, but it's one that will satisfy you for a while.
I'm very specific with the links and products.Their are a lot of knockoffs and inferior equipment and juices in the market. Just order from these links and you should be very happy. I have no commercial affiliation with any of these vendors.

Get 2 VV Ego Twist or 1 if funds are tight $26.00 per Unit Click Here
Charger Click Here
Kanger T3 Bottom Coil Clearomizer buy 4 Each will last about 2 weeks Click Here
When they come back in stock buy the replacement Head for the Kanger Buy around 5 - Click Here
E-Liquid- Virgin Vapes- Click Here

To anyone posting afterwards, don't confuse this new Vapor. She won't go wrong with this rig and buying from these companies.

thanks so much, tom for all the helpful info. but i have questions. please forgive me for being dumb.

how long of life might i expect out of these batteries, because i had one from Eversmoke crap out after only a couple weeks. i don't really wanna be buying batteries every month, ya know?

and about these clearomizers. do they last a long time and you just have to replace the coil heads every couple weeks? or do you have to buy new clearomizers too?

and how many refills will i get from a half ounce of juice do you think?

sorry to ask so many questions....i know, i am such a noob, sorry. but thanks for your help.

Hi Kelli
These are good questions. No question is dumb, what I wanted to do was to help you by making solid recommendations for a beginner, have you follow the recommendations and not have to think too much. Everyone has an opinion and it's daunting the amount of choices you have. Myself I use a totally different rig than this, I have an Ego Twist I bought for backup and testing purposes. I'm a veteran who had perused the threads and tried many solutions, and from what I've tried and common forum opinion, I came up with my recommendations.

The Joyetech is a premier brand known for being high quality. I would never recommend a throwaway unit that would only last 2 weeks. The Ego Twist has the unit built into the battery and is simple reasonable form factor, reasonable battery life. You can expect to switch once a day if you are vaping at the 3.75-4.2v sweet spot for the Kanger. It has one of the biggest satisfied user base of any ecig. Nothing lasts forever but you should expect around
6 months to 1 year out of each unit (Maybe More). Depends on how you use and abuse. Joyetech uses quality battery in it's construction, and has
an excellent reputation. I believe that it is the most popular (Arguabley) on the market for a reason. There are cheaper knock off brands but they are higher risk. I recommended the Ego Twist because it has a really solid reputation. Also it is VV or Variable Volt. The advantage to Variable volt is that different liquids will taste better at different voltages and you can easily adjust the Ego Twist to get the best flavor. Also I find that in the morning I like a lower voltage and at the middle-end of the day I'll turn it up a little. For a beginner, you won't get confused by Led lights and tons of buttons. It's a very simple setup.

I've had trouble finding the heads but I'd expect 1 Kanger Clearomizer to last 2 weeks
and than I'd expect the body to last for 3-4 clearomizers. This is an estimation, their are variations in how often you vape and type of liquid. Different liquids have different vicosiitys and ingredients, some clog clearomizers quicker than others. So there is no set answer.

At around $5.00 a clearomizer and $2.75 a coil head this is very economical solution. Even using just the head and not bothering to use cartridges. I think $2.50 per week or $.40 per dayis a good deal to get an excellent vape and if you use the refills than .20 per day is really great.! The two most popular choices in Clearomizers are the Kanger t3 and the Vivi Nova. I was a Vivi Nova user, tried the Kanger t3and I haven't looked back. The t3 is the best vape that I've ever had off a clearomizer, the most reliable, and it holds a days worth of e-liquid so you only have to refill once a day. Some clearomizers have a chemically tast, the Kanger t3 doesn't. To get more technical the T3 is also a bottom coil clearomizer which has it's advantages. Take a leap of faith, or investigate and go with the Kanger, it'll save you time and money. I've tried alot of differnt clearomizers.

For Liquid, now this is a rule of thumb, I'm a very heavy vaper who vapes at my desk and all the time and I go through about 2.5ml per day that would be around a 5-6 days per 15ml (1 ounce). I strongly suggest that you purchase 30ml at a time.

I DIY, make my own liquid for under $4.00 per 30ml but it's complicated and at this point. Let's keep it simple, feel free to message me in a few months and I can give you pointers on DIY.

Vaping is a progression and I dont' want to overwhelm you so I'm recommending, simple, quality equipment. And quality E-juices.

f you are worried about cost A more economical solution for liquid is Heathers Heavenly Vapes, try a sample pack, won't bust you at $10.00 for a bunch of flavors. Click Here . I later developed allergies to all liquids except organic which is why I initially recommended Virgin Vapers

At $13.00 per bottle if you are a medium vaper you'll go through around 2 bottles a month, around .75 - $1.25 per day-not bad , add the Clearomizer and you are at $1.00 - $1.5 per day max, not bad when compared to cost of cigarettes.

By the way, in around 6 months (or less) you'll be ready to move up. Some stick with it forever, some want even more. The battery on the Ego will last you around 1 day, so if you buy two you'll have 1 charging and 1 in use, an ideal solution. I estimate a 6 month - 1 1/2 year lifespan on the Ego Twist depending on how much you abuse it.

Also the key to vaping is to always have a backup, I'd suggest that you buy an extra charger. Redundant systems will keep you vaping and you'll never backslide to smoking. Always have an extra bottle or two of e-liquid on hand.

I've spent $1000s of dollars on different Clearomizers, Cartomizers etc, and vaping rigs. You'll be happy for awhile with the solutions that I've recommended and they won't break the bank.

Finally I've made it simple. If you just click the URL s that I've provided you'll get compatible quality equipment that will all fit together.

Feel free to ask more questions.

hi tony!!! ♥♥♥

tom, one more quick question. i see what you mean about not being able to find the replacement coils. they are sold out everywhere! so if they do not become available, does that mean i have to buy a new supply of clearomizers? just checking. we need to tell them to make more of those coil thingies!!

Eventually they'll become available,

for the moment just buy the whole Clearomizers and than save the bodies, when the replacement coil assembllies finally come in you can stock up. They aren't available, not because they stopped making them but because of the huge demand! Eventually supply will catch up to demand. The word is out that these Kanger t3s are excellent so it's hard to keep the replacements Coil assemblies in stock!

At around $5.00 they are still a good deal, and with replacement coils at $2.50 they become excellent.

I have around 4 in my drawer and am going to buy another 4, I always like to have plenty of clearomizers because sometimes they get sold out.
