Just wanted to say hi. I'm 48 y/o male from California. Tomorrow is my last day on analogs. Wish me luck :-(

PS Are there ANY e-juices that actually give you the same feeling (nicotine rush) as a Newport or Marlboro?

1: good luck.
2: short answer is no.
the longer answer is, : milligram strength and hardware might be more important for you to look at.
Maybe 3mg at 30watts will make your eyes open wide.

Hello! Glad to hear you are quitting! Flavor wise, yes there are several flavors that are made to taste like cigarettes, just look around! Nicotine wise, you can add several milligrams of nicotine, usually over 30 depending on the circumstances. You can get the same rush using a vape and in a much safer way. Start high and make your way down until you are vaping 0mg! That's what I did at least.

Tomorrow, use your vape first. If it doesn't hold the wolves at bay, up your nico intake. I started at 24, upped to 33. Backed down after a few wks.
5 & 1/2 yrs in about 15. I like nico rush.
Frankly, can't remember what a ciggy tasted like.
I smoked Marlboro reds & really have liked DK555 for years.
Make the most of your big day!..

Lots of luck tomorrow! I was a Newport smoker and now I vape Mt. Baker Vapor Menthol. It is not the same but it is a strong menthol and gives you that coolness. I heard Halo was good too. Also, I remember someone writing an article about finding the perfect Newport vape but I think he may have blended several flavors together to achieve this. Try a general search in all the forums for Newport flavor or try in the eliquid forum. Once again, good luck! Ginger

Are you already vaping? Or just going to take the big plunge?

As stated, the nic content will depend on your watts and or power(if you like). Low power=higher nic %
sub ohm stuff run at 30+ watts I would think you can get by on less than 8ml of nic to start.
I started with 24ml and a low power device and now vape less than 3ml with a better understanding of what I like in a vape

Welcome! Before smoking your last analog, it's a good idea to make sure you have a good e cig, that will closely reproduce for you the same type of vaping experience you get from analogs and a few juices you like. This is called mouth-to-lung vaping and involves drawing on your e cig and inhaling the vapor in the same way you do with analogs. You can branch out later into whatever type of vaping that appeals to you, but early on, I recommend you stick with the basics. My best advice for an ecig is an Eleaf 30 watt, and a Nautilus Mini tank. You can get both for around $50 or less. I know My Freedom Smokes carries both, is a preferred ECF vendor and will treat you right based on tons of recommendations by ECF members. I've never bought from them, but I have sent their customer service department questions and they always respond quickly with good information. I am sure I'll buy from them at some point in the near future.

I advise most people to start out with a higher level of nicotine in your juice -- like 18 mg. or 24 mg. or even higher if needed. You shouldn't worry at all at this point about vaping a low nicotine juice. Just remember, if you are vaping non-stop or are having crazy, terrible cravings for an analog, you probably aren't vaping juice with enough nicotine in it.

I can't advise what juice will best replicate for you the flavors of certain analogs, but there are tons of people here who can. I also think it's a good idea to go to an actual retail brick and mortar store in your area to try various juices for free. Any questions you have, please come here and ask them. There are tons of people here who want to help you make the transition to vaping, as easy as possible.

Best of luck!!

Welcome to the forum!
Vaping is different to smoking so it's hard to 100% simulate the smoking, vapor is wet liquid vaporized by battery power, but smoke is totally dry feeling as a result of burning tobacco, please except the difference when you vape, and just don't care too much it, just catch the feeling that the vaping gives you :)

Welcome to ECF!

I've been vaping since September 2015 and last week was tooling around out in the garage. I took my first vape of the day a 12mg bottle of e-liquid and I must have been hitting it hard and got quite the rush. Really surprised me. Clean nicotine buzz.

You cannot reproduce the burning tobacco/menthol taste, and you will be disappointed if that's your goal. You will, however, be more than satisfied with the vaping experience and even more so than smoking tobacco.

I chose not to even try tobacco or menthol flavors because I didn't want to associate it with smoking. I found flavors I love and I haven't looked back. Not once.

I think the most important things are getting your nic level right but also getting your technique right too. With a cigarette you get an instant hit whereas with vaping it's more like smoking a pipe - it takes a wee while to get the nic into your system.

I think you need to concentrate ( and at the beginning "concentrate" is the watchword ) on taking slowish draws, holding the vapour in your mouth, inhaling it if you will and then letting it slowly out through your nose.

Sounds like hard work I know but it quickly becomes automatic and really does help.

From my personal experience I quit my PAD Marlboro Red habit by using Buck Naked American and Turkish Tobacco Flavors at 2.4%. Slowly worked down to now at 6% mixing with 1.2% & 1.8%. From my calculations I figure that the Cig-A-Likes were an average of 1.5% which I started with and now using a MOD I get more cloud so I cut the level in half but still tweaking it.

Best of luck! You will be so happy the day you can say to yourself............ I am an X-Smoker!
